Strength Exercises don't accumulate "points"?

I'm back at using map again and it seems to me that the exercise diary is different from when I used it before. It appears that the exercise database isn't well populated ( I couldn't find v sits, bosu ball exercises or Trx exercises.) also when I manually added a new exercise it didn't change my exercise numbers on my dash board. Do you not earn back calories via strength training?! Also there is no clean and jerks etc....
What is everyone using to calculate calories burned during their strength training?

You can either figure out your calorie burn through pulse or estimate. Also when I do strength excersizes I just go to cardio and go to calisthenics. Not as accurate but it let's me put in a time so that I can put down an estimated calorie burn. I've never estimated calorie burn via pulse so you may have to Google it if you choose to go that route. Hopefully that helps on that end of your question.0

Add "Strength training (weight lifting, weight training)" to Cardiovascular to get estimated Calories Burned added to your Diary. Please note that the Calories burned for Cardiovascular exercises provided by MFP are based on published metabolic equivalent of tasks (METs), which are estimates for a general population and may differ for you as an individual. If desired, add individual strength training exercises, such as "Biceps Curl," to Strength Training to have a log of sets, reps, and weights as individual exercises.
