  • crystal light instead of juice make a few things in bulk when you have time: brown rice, baked chicken, hard boiled eggs for breakfast I almost always have this: -1/4 c quick oats -1/4 c already cooked brown rice -1/4 c almond milk -1/4 c water (microwave it for 1.5-2 minutes and then add honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract,…
  • 1/4 cup of quick oats 1/4 cup of cooked plain brown rice 1/4 cup of almond milk 1/8-1/4 cup of water microwaved for 1.5-2 minutes (in a big bowl so there’s no spill over) then I added: 1 tbsp honey (or you could use Splenda, Truvia, Stevia, etc) 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla and sometimes a few berries yummm :)
  • although Level 1 was still somewhat challenging at the end of Day 10 I was so bored with the moves, I was considering giving up all together. then came today, Day 1 of Level 2 - let m tell you, it was AWESOME. I lied on the floor for about a minute at the end, huffing and puffing...but I felt GOOOOD
  • oops forgot to include that little detail haha yes it's precooked! I usually make a lot of rice at once and store it in the fridge for convenience
  • I've never tried it, but look at some youtube videos of the workouts before you buy it. It's expensive and her workouts are not something that I don't think I personally would be able to stick with. This blog has a ton of links to Tracy Anderson videos: http://celeryandcupcakes.com/all-things-tracy/
  • I'm majoring in International Studies with concentrations in Latin America and Human Rights & Social Movements. I'm also minoring in Spanish and Portuguese. Don't ask me what I'm gonna do with it though, I have no answer to that question haha
  • I was a carb addict until recently. I try to eat all my from vegetables, Eziekiel bread, oatmeal, or whole grain cereal. I upped the amount of protein I get at each meal (except early morning - that's when I eat most of my bread product carbs) and I've beat most of my carb cravings (except baked desserts) and usually…
  • gotta love Jamie Eason! she has the best high protien, low carb, low calorie recipes!
  • there are 3 levels...each level is a little bit longer than 20 minutes, but that includes warm up and cool down. each level also consists of 3 cycles of 3 min strength, 2 min cardio, 1 min abs. I got mine in iTunes and just finished Day 7 of Level 1 and am getting a lot stronger already!
  • I'm not a skinny girl so I can't say for sure, but my skinny friends who don't have naturally phenomenal metabolisms work for their bodies. They lift weights 5 times a week, do cardio 6 times a week, only drink vodka tonics when they go out and stay far away from processed foods. You don't have to give up your social life,…
  • This is really heart breaking to read. Dieting can be extremely stressful, especially when you have an injury and find it difficult to be active. I don't mean this to be offensive at all, but due to your impaired mobility with your leg...have you tried chair exercises for seniors? Maybe if you order some hand and leg…
  • I wish I saw this earlier! I'm gonna make it a personal challenge now!
  • if you want it for the flavor it goes really well on sandwiches, turkey burgers, any mexican food, etc. but I highly recommend using it in desserts, especially chocolate ones :) it adds so much richness to healthy recipes that makes it seem like you're "cheating"
  • I do 40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fat and lost 3 pounds in the first 3 weeks. I still make sure I don't go over my calories, but keeping this ratio has proven to be the best method for me
  • oh and I added a banana and a few pieces of ice!
  • 2 cups of raw baby spinach 1/2 cup of almond milk 1/4 cup non fat vanilla Chobani greek yogurt 3 oz baby carrots 1 scoop of Optimum Nutrition Whey - vanilla ice cream flavored I haven't been getting as much protein as I want to so I just got the whey powder today. It's actually really good! I'm gonna make some homemade…
  • Take a look at Jamie Eason and Wendy Lucas
  • I'm gonna try a fruitier one tomorrow..maybe with a little peanut butter? They're great post-workout
  • maybe try getting more calories during the first half of the day, if you're exercising your body needs some fuel to burn!
  • I am shocked that I've lost 4lbs thus far! Just a couple weeks ago I was thinking I wouldn't make the cut, but now I'm determined to lose this last pound! WE CAN DO THIS!
  • Definitely look at it as a challenge/game rather than a diet. The word "diet" itself has a distinctly negative connotation in my mind. This way when you have some of your friend's french fries or a little more chocolate than you should've you don't feel guilty, you'll feel more like you made a bad move in a board game...at…
  • I just completed Day 5 of Level 1 and I'm already feeling stronger, but I have to admit...hearing Jillian say the same things over and over has already gotten kind of annoying. Other than that I definitely recommend it thus far
  • I do 5 meals a day..my calorie allowance is 1350 so I try to keep each "meal" around 300 calories
  • I swear I already notice a difference and I just finished Day 3!
  • OBSESSED. Here ya go twooliver! just go to TV Shows; it has all 3 seasons: http://ch131.com/
  • Some of you sound so sad :( I like being single....I've learned so much about who I am & improved myself in so many ways. Look at it as an opportunity to grow!
  • by the way it's for pregnant women and young children...you're obviously neither, but I figured the recommendations would be most strict for kids and women who are preggers
