I hate Level 3! I thought I'd be ready for it for all the jumping squats are tweaking some of my muscles and not in a good way! Think i'll be alternating L2 and L3 for a while....but agree re seeing the changes. so whatever happens I'll be doing some 30DS, whatever the level I choose on the day

I'm 41, mother of 3 and I HATE running! I'm currently on week 3 and I'm doing this because I know running is good for burning calories and I want to be fitter. I like a challenge so that's why I'm determined to finish this, even if I never actually enter a 5km run I'd like to be able to know that I CAN run that far
-
I'm doing it on the treadmill-partly because it's winter and we're getting a lot of rain but mostly because I really don't want people to see me running! am running on 7km an hour (about 4 mph?) and walking on 5.5
-
Me please. I've been messing around with it and am running for longer periods now but would love to join a group and actually finish this!
-
I did L3D1 today too, and it kicked my butt. I agree with the fast pace-it "seemed" faster

I'm on d4L2. I've stopped and started shred many times before and have always given up! This time I'm generally a bit fitter and have kept it up, doing it nearly every day and man I'm noticing a difference in my muscle tone and how my clothes fit. I'm on the final week of an 8 week weight loss challenge that I chose not to…

Am in NZ too. I use the Mountain bread wraps-which are about 70 cals for a big wrap Or I use the vogels "really thin" which again is about 70 cals Makes a huge difference and means you can put more "stuff" in your sammie/wrap!

I've lost 55 lbs but that's over 2 years. not quite at goal yet but so close that the numbers don't register as much as just trying to maintain the weight I'm at and build some more muscle
-
Yes, you certainly can. I lost most of my weight without exercising. I took up exercising just becuase I thought I should - and it was a way to get out of the house! Leaving my husband with our 3 small chidren to go for a work seemed acceptable, leaving them to drink beer did not (damn it!) I started off with 1 walk a…

Good work! Great attitude

I've only been doing mfp and it's going well. Do you need the "paying of money" to keep you accountable? If not, cut that cord!
-
You are looking amazing-that's a big change to your face shape. Does it feel weird sometimes looking in the mirror?! Bizarre q but I too look VERY different and sometimes when I catch a glimpse of myself I don't recognise it as "me" (I know it is-just a smaller version!)

I just stopped eating like a moron
-
noep, but I've got it here, still in its wrapping...arrived a couple fo days ago. got it in a box of 5 with shred, yoga etc. Where to start?!
-
multi vit, flaxseed oil, coconut oil

I lost weight with all 3 of my pregnancies simply because I ate much better. I was really conscious that everything I put in my mouth was going to the bub so I ate well. Such a pity I could never use that same discipline when I wasn't pregnant! (Until now of course)

totally agree!

I've only really started exercising in the last couple of months, and that's only really twice a week of "intentional" exercise. I go walking. I ahve just bought some JM DVDs which I intend to doa couple fo tiems a week, but we shall see. I keep it to what I knwo I'll be able to maintain, so walking a couple of times a…

Age: 40 Sex: F Height: 5'3" Weight: 146 Body fat: 32.5 (from scale) Body fat goal : 25% Daily calories: 1500 net

Am 5"3 I want to get my body fat down to 25%, it's currently 32.5. Using one fo teh calculators it estimates my ideal weight at aroundf 136 to achieve that. My original goal was 62 kg and now that I'm within 5 kgs of that I'm really just "looking" at my % number (not that I don't get super excited if I ahve a good loss on…

yum! Am def going to try this

I have chocolate every day too. we have these choc treats in Nz that are mostly marshmallow with a tiny bit of caramel and covered in choc. they are 55 cals. i like to have one with my coffee after dinner. If I'm super organised and have saved my cals I have a few squares of dark choc instead
-
I was in the mid 30s at my heaviest and am now just a smidge away from healthy...am very excited and motivated to get there
-
I don't know but I do know my weight fluctuates quite a bit over the month! I tend to have 2 weeks of good losses followed by 2 weeks of so so losses/no change/small gain
-
Yay! People noticing is such a great motivator
-
I'm 5.3 (and a half!-that half is very important!) am currently 148 and am wanting to get down to 135 I think
-
I would say yes! I was feeling very washed out on only 1200 so dropped my goal to 1/2 pound a week. Am still losing between 500-800grams a week and am much happier. Having those few extra cals is the difference between being on a diet and just eating well for me. Have a play with it and see what works for you
