  • Hey DRB, you and I are pretty much in the same boat. I am 44, 230 lbs. I have been as low as 213 but took me a bit to realize that my promotion at work to a lot less physical position was affecting my progress. My attitude toward my weight loss was not looking at it as a diet to get to a certain number but that I was…
  • Welcome to MFP, Congrats on the upcoming nuptials. I do Subway everyday for lunch, well Mon - Fri anyway. I usually get a 6" turkey on wheat, no cheese and lots of veggies and no dressing also a non sweet tea. I also do Subway for dinner as well quite often but always a salad that I take home and turn into a wrap.
  • Thanks Sandrose.
  • Born in Ohio now in Spring Hill, FL
  • I'm the exact opposite. Between the website and the app for my phone I log everything daily. I have found this site to be an amazing resource and will be here as long as they will hav me. Like most people here I don't consider it a diet but a change of lifestyle. I know how to get big but I am learning how to get small. I…
  • it could be the name of a Fantasy league.
  • Might this be the Bro's before Ho-Ho's group I have been looking for :D
  • I don't mind that at all, actually keeps my motivation up to see this thing through TYVM  And yes LSC is meant to mean Life Style Change. I get asked quite often what type of diet I am on and the look on most peoples face after I explain to them that it's not a diet but a new way of life for me leaves quite a few…
  • Thanks everyone, i feel so much better. Would like to get another 42 lbs. off before maintenance. As for the NSV I haven't seen a smile from her like that in a long time, Here's to making her smile like that all the time.:drinker:
  • I'm a fellow Floridian. Just north of Tampa a bit.
  • Wow, you have been through a lot. I joined the Corps at 215 and graduated boot camp at 185. That was quite a while ago but am trying to get back to that weight once again. My son broke his leg his junior year of high school and got MRSA after the surgery. spent 3 weeks in the hospital and another 3 weeks at home having me…
  • I too found this site thx to my phone. Been here a little over 60 days and am here all the time. Its a very useful site. I am also 42, well for another week, and HAD to make some drastic changes in my life. So glad to have found this site. Best of luck to you and if I can be of any assistance please feel free to ask.
  • I admit when I made my lifestyle change last year, one of the things I did was to check out the nutritional values of what I had been eating at some of my favorite places. Needless to say I have never been back to any of them. I quit them all cold turkey and haven't looked back once. The real problem I have is school…
  • Thats Awsome, keep up the great work and welcome to the best site I have ever found.
  • Thanks All, it was very cool. I'll take'm as I get them and hope to one day look as good as it made me feel.
  • My official MFP weigh in is every monday morning, thats the one i log but i step on the scale 5+ times a day. It has given me a much better understanding of what my body goes through. I can see 3-5 lb weight fluctuations that used to scare the hell out of me but I have learned to cope with the changes the longer I am at…
  • Can't find any pictures of mine but I have taken the mental approach of "It's a Marathon not a Sprint" to my lifestyle change.
  • I will do that rorosaw. TYVM
  • Great Job, that offers me hope. I scheduled an appointment for this coming Friday hoping to either have my meds lowered or be told I no longer need them as well.
  • Thanks for all the responses, guess i'll have to go chek it out tomorrow.
  • I don't for 2 reasons 1) I just dont understand the science behind it and 2) I have no idea how many I burn throughout the day. Don't want to risk going over. I am usually under my 1900 calorie a day limit by 300-500 and I eat something every couple of hours whether it be an apple or Kashi bar or something. Rarely have I…
  • Thats awsome!!!! WTG. I just said to my wife the other day, "you realize I am getting close to losing our 11 year old". He is 104lbs and I have 19 more to go. He's been swimming everyday so he is probably helping me do it.
  • I discovered Mrs Dash spices and they are all 0 sodium. They have quite a few different ones to choose from and I use them for everything now. I am one of the High Blood Pressure types so sodium is a really big deal for me. I now cook for the family 80% of the time and the kids even like the taste. Hope this helps.
  • Thanks everyone.
