  • I tend to do this, too. On occasion, as a treat, I'll drink something like juice or once in a while a soda. But I agree-- I found it the easiest thing to cut out of my diet.
  • Dessert. I love it so.

  • I hear you! It's definitely cheaper to buy & cook your own food, especially if you look for sales & coupons. The other day I went grocery shopping and the ONLY thing I bought that wasn't on sale or discounted was milk! Spent around $55, and I probably won't have to go for another month at least except for fresh veggies-…
  • Often, I've noticed that the low calorie stuff listed at places like that are for the absolute smallest size you can get... essentially what equates to a bite's worth of sandwich, hah. Maybe it was listed for something like that...
  • I used my little lunchbox cooler to take to work. I found that bringing food also meant I could make myself eat the healthy food that I tend to pretend isn't in my fridge when I'm home-- yogurt or fruit or stuff that I tend to pass over if I have the option for less healthy stuff, hah. But if I pack those foods in a…
  • There's just one of me plus a cat, but I managed to spend around $30-$40 and it'll last me for a few weeks. I use coupons/sales and rarely buy anything that isn't discounted from one or both of those.
  • 2003 Toyota Prius in metallic green :)
  • Aw , that's great!
  • That's fantastic! And inspiration to get my 8+ glasses of water in!
  • Horseryder77- Thanks! :D The boy (in front) is actually a dun, just can't see his dorsal stripe there, but he pretty much glows in the sunlight (when he hasn't rolled in mudpuddles, hah!) The filly is sorrel, but from the Belgian side of the family she got the pangare gene which lightens up that mane and tail and…
  • Horseryder77 & ShellyLee-- I'd love to try eventing someday! It looks like a lot of fun! Jersey3025- I hear you on training a greenie! My boy tests me all the time and makes sure my legs in particular get their workout, lol! Lanfear-- I also had a recent lesson focusing on counter-canter. As I told my trainer, "Why is…
  • Have fun! That sounds like a blast. I did a weeklong trek through Spain once, and that was an absolutely amazing experience. Rode an Andalusian... got me hooked on the breed! :) My two are Belgian/Quarter Horse crosses, though. Someday I'll get an Andalusian ;)
  • Glad I found this thread! I'm another English rider. I have two horses-- full siblings, Quarter Horse/Belgian crosses. The filly is 3, and the gelding is 4-- I'm working with him under saddle, and he's a smart cookie. Hoping to be able to show him by fall in some simple flat class... we'll see! If any other horse people on…
  • Hi! I'll friend you-- I'm another rider :) I ride English, mainly jumpers though I haven't been showing much lately. Trying to focus on training my 4 year old beast! :)
  • All I know was that I was nearing that point today and wanted to eat everything in sight, hah! Thanks for holding on (just barely), self control!
  • I tend to put in some workouts later at night as well-- I'm a night owl by nature :)
  • They do have an option for "Horse Grooming" in here. I usually just use that for any grooming and groundwork I do with my horses :)
  • That's a good kind of inconvenience! :)
  • Congrats! :)
  • Yay, more riders! :) emilydmac, I definitely see a difference in my body riding versus not, so to me it's definitely good exercise! And as kels67 pointed out, especially that no-stirrup work, lol... My two are draft crosses, so I hear you on the 2000 pound comment, lol! Can be a challenge to get them to listen well…
  • karq85- Bareback is definitely a fantastic workout! I've been a little more hesitant to ride that way lately, as I broke my foot while riding my gelding bareback back in September. (Deer jumped out and spooked him.) Seajolly- Definitely find a way to get back into it! So much fun, and it has so many benefits... not the…
  • KBrenOH- Adding you! I'm also going to be using my Exercise Notes to keep track of what I've done with the horses, so there will be little updates like that from me here and there... thankfully, horses seem to burn calories in a plethora of ways! (Riding... trekking across 16 acres to get them... chasing them when they run…
  • Thanks :) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what comes of this adventure!
