  • Greek yogurt is high in protein. Unless you are looking for it to come strictly from a meat source, then I'm not sure. I get most of my sources of protein from egg whites, tuna and yogurt and I average 100g a day give or take.
  • I eat canned pumpkin, flax seed, fiber one cereal, fruit (mostly apples, raspberries & blackberries), high fiber tortilla wraps, polaner fiber jelly.... anything that has extra added fiber. I seek it out purposely. I have to have a minimum of 5g in a meal or snack. If that does happen, I make sure have my other meals…
  • It is low in calories and high in fiber, which has been instrumental in my weight loss. 1 serving of libby's canned pumpkin has: 1/2 cup (122g) 40 Cals - .5g fat - 5g sodium - 9g carb - 5 fiber - 4 sugar - 2 protein. I mix splenda, vanilla extract, cinnamon and some nutmeg (all to taste) into it and make my vegetable a…
  • My food scale and canned pumpkin!
  • I've experienced this as well. I finally just said that my doctor is aware of what I am doing and what my goals are, and that they are in agreement with me. I found that they don't push it any more after that.
  • Try and increase your fiber and water intake. When you can finally get things "moving"... you will see an instant drop on the scale! Raspberries and blackberries are great high fiber fruits and prunes as well. I've been addicted to pumpkin, which is a high fiber vegetable, also cabbage and chick peas.
  • I consume a great deal of fiber everyday... some where around 50-80g!! I believe for me that was a huge part of my weight loss success!! I do drink the crystal light with fiber while at work, but not on the weeks. I also eat ground flax seed and add it to my foods. Generally, I try and have no less then 5g of fiber per…
  • Indeed!!
  • Try taking baby steps towards it. Instead of trying to not eat any junk food, try and cut it out of one part of your day. See how you do with that. I know for me, a complete overhaul of the way I used to live would've never worked for me. Be gentle with yourself and take it slow. When you realize that you can in fact do…
  • I don't have "off days". I stick to the plan that I know works for me. If I make a change and I find that it didn't work out the way I hoped or planned on it, then I change it again or go back to what was working for me in the first place. Ultimately, you have to do what works for you, and if that means trying to give up…
  • Feel free to add me as well... :))
  • It works if you work it, so work it you're worth it!! I always try to remember that if I have a friend who is having a bad day, and what I would say to them to give them encouragement and the positive talk they might be needing to hear to keep on going.... that I need to give that same talk to myself. It can be hard being…
  • I've heard the same thing as well. I just reached my goal 2 weeks ago of losing 100lbs!! But before I got there, others told me that I was getting boney and they felt I was done. I would kindly remind them that I was following what my doctors thought was acceptable and they were accepting of my set goal in mind.…
