in my opinion it is best to eat little and often, 5-6 meals a day . So break the necessary calories into for example 5 meals, so 1200 divde by 5 equals 240 cals per meal give or take. so aim to eat these amounts of calories every 3-4 hours. I hope this helps : ))

Hi' So long as your not going way under say 500 cals plus then don't stress. Try and keep it healthy, you know yourself if your taking it to far. I hope this helps

I assume that you've got medical advice due to the fact that you know your max bpm, so with that in mind I'd recomend a polar HRM and like the last lady said go for a walk and observe your heart rate. You'll know when your pshing to hard and you will be able to control the inensity of your exercise. And the fitter you get…

I'm with everyone else, one oreo in 6 weeks is better than me. My wife moans at me for being to concerned with calories and protien etc and thats with me having a six pack coming through. It never changes and no one understands better than you do. It's a lifestyle change and you will eat the junk food and treats you used…

Yep I agree, it's much better than nothing and if it's more appealing than cereals it's a bonus. Look for food that are low glycimic as they won't give you a sugar rush and will help make you feel fuller. : ))

Hiya Chuck : )) The fact that your missing breakfast is quite bad because not only does it set you up for the day but it also gets your metabolisum going, so in fact your burning less calories by not having breakfast. My breakfast is important to me and weighs in at 426 cals. Nearly 25% of my normal daily allowance. Has…

I've just done 8 x8 , row and press. It's 8 reps 8sets, supersets. Pick a moderate but challenging weight ( I picked a pair of 30kg dumb bells ) and do 8 unilateral row's ( good form of course ) and then straight to the bench press and do 8 of them with no rest between exercises and only 20-30 seconds between supersets.…

Hi, chellieirish put me on to you , I've been on here for three months ish. I've not got much weight to loose but the bit of fat that I do have is a real pig to shed so I thought if I can hit it from all angles then I could be on to a winner. Well like I said I've been on here for three months ish and still have that bit…

This is so interesting. I've never considered fasting and I don't think I'm ready to do it myself ( not yet anyway) but it is food for thought ( forgive the pun). Thanks for yet another thought provoking subject .

I've printed it off and I'll try to do it tomorrow, but it does look like a tough one. Thanks : ))

I have a allowance of 2360 cals without exercise and on a weekday I normally do between 900-1100 of exercise cals per day. I eat between 2000 and 2700 cals at any given day so with the exercise it gives me a good deficit .

I'm afraid I'm in the overtraining section but I only do isolated body parts once a week, I loved the post thanks x

BMI is a load of tosh,I'm 6ft tall I weght 86 kilos and a body fat of 14.5% yet my BMI is 27 so I'm officially over weight, what rubbish. If you do your best to drop the fat but not to much (not below 10 - 12%) and your fit then screw the BMI.

Your diet is great with maybe a weakness for curly whirly's but that ok you can have treats to keep it managable. I also recomend the increase in exercise but make it veried with cardio and weights so you shock your body a little. I hope this helps and if you need any advice then give me a shout . Good luck : ))

Yeah, thought so : ((

I'm sure you'll love it. Good luck and my fingers are crossed for you : ))

I realy enjoy my workouts and I find doing diferent things makes it interesting. My usual workout involves cycling, weights, skipping, boxing, spin and an abs class at the end before I cycle home again. With that much it's difficult to get bored or unmotivated. Nice thread : ))
