All of my friends have been erased also. I had 10+ people on here and they are now gone.

Apparently there are several that make weight loss very difficult if not impossible. Pulled from NCBI database: Some genes can affect a person's ability to lose weight, but obesity is a complex issue with many causes, and genetics are not the only factor: ADIPOQ A genetic variant of this gene can cause people to regain…

Hopefully others feel this way also. For anyone who is overweight, we should be seeing a dietician and therapist at least.

You can look them up for yourself on PubMed. It is a free research database.

next goal: Below 230 lbs and then buying a pillow/cushion for my bath tub so I can do relaxing soaks after weights/running.

My husband tells me all the time that I am cheating. He says it semi-jokingly... Oh well, I finally weigh less than him. First time in 13 years! He was always 1 to 20 lbs less than me.

Started Zepbound 4 weeks ago. Had a huge interaction with my metformin and caused gastroparesis. Threw up a few days worth of metformin at once and realized the problem. Emailed with my GI and Endo. Stopped the metformin and doing much better now. Down 26 lbs total (from before and after starting zep) and get my follow up…

My son's school does challenges like a 100 mile club, kids get rewards for walking 100 miles throughout the school year. He easily does 100 miles or more in a month or so. He loves to see how many miles he is getting and eventually wants to do track. He eats like a horse and we don't restrict food but try to make sure our…

Hi, please note that GLP-1 medications are well known to cause thyroid cancers and pancreatitis among other things. Although ozempic, wegovy, zepbound, etc are new, the class itself is not new. Hope this helps

I like that this challenge does not focus on the scale! I am in.

Honestly, it is very hard to gauge how many calories you truly burn when exercising. I would leave it alone. Dont eat back your exercise calories.

Hi everyone! Since it is Saturday, I will say my successes are losing 27 lbs since having my son 2 months ago. Maintaining my breast milk supply through pumping because he can't latch. Getting my husband exercising again. Breaking my Starbucks addiction and finally getting help for my postpartum depression and anxiety.

My man doesn't get it. He wants to lose weight but doesn't ever TRY! I just ate a healthy lunch while he ate pizza. He will eat healthier ONLY if I buy groceries he agrees with a make a meal schedule. Even then, he wants a pint of ice cream or a piece of cake every night! I think I am going to start my meal schedule again…

ChrissyLee, I am in the same boat. I was told to gain a maximum of 10 lbs. during this pregnancy due to other health risks. I get side tracked too and find my self going back to track sometimes 2 days later.

Some things we can use in the hospital setting that work well: 1. Warm prune juice 2. Hot tea 3. Colace (over the counter stool softener, not a laxative). 4. Senna laxative is mild and can be used for longer terms. 5. EXERCISE!

I am so glad you were able to get the stenting done! Good luck in your journey!

Hi everyone! I am a ICU nurse who was diagnosed by one of the resident physicians (after being misdiagnosed with vertigo for 12 years). I have been started on diamox since this last Friday. I have been pulling the medical research on IIH and am trying to find a way to control my symptoms and now medication side effects so…

Have you seen the research for the stenting?

Rustee, Just remember when doing this program: Your brain only runs on carbohydrates, so don't go below 50 in any day. Have milk if you aren't feeling good. Also, even if you are not in ketosis, only do 3 protein days. Read Day 1 page 45 the last paragraph (if you have the book). It talks about moving on to the meal plan…

The protein days are not too bad once you find the things you like. I love steak so that is my day to have some steak, for snacks I have yogurt, breakfast is milk or a skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks. :)
-
HI everyone, My protein days will start tomorrow. We had to plan around my work and school schedule. My fiance won't do the program with me completely but he will start eating healthier. I am glad to hear that everyone is doing well right now! Let's keep in touch. :)

HI everyone. I am starting Lindora on Thursday. I don't go to the clinics, I use the book and follow it on my own. I had lost weight before and kept it off for 4 years (until I met my fiance....) I always found the program easy once you find what you like. I work 12 hour shifts so I make sure I bring extra snacks. The…

Try the chicken ceasar wraps. They are very good. :) I am trying to find more recipes during my days off work. I will post back later.

You can also get the basic plan from the national institute of health. Just google "Dash diet" and scroll down until you see the PDF version of it. It is very nice to have a real eating plan that is not based on diet foods. I am an RN and do a lot of research into nutrition for continuing my education and just for myself.…

Hi! I make yogurt (1 Cup) with 1/4 Cup granola and 1/2 Cup fresh fruit for breakfast. Chicken ceasar wraps for lunch (1.5 ounces chicken breast, 2 cups lettuce, 1/4 cup shredded parmesean cheese, 2 tbsp ceasar dressing in a 12 inch whole wheat tortilla) steamed (or baked) salmon (topped with lemon wedges, a little olive…
