You look at least 10 years younger. Wow!

I gained 6 pounds but 4 pounds of it was following a surgical procedure I had on Dec. 23rd. I can only contribute it to my IV fluids because during that time I didn't eat. Either way...I am not allowed to run like I usually do (4-5 times a week) until I get the all clear on Friday :( It's been a really bleh week for me and…

In my personal experience....listen to your body. Obviously you don't want to fill yourself with crap but if you are hungry then eat. I've hit a plateau several times and allowed myself over my usual caloric intake for a couple days and BAM! I was down 5lbs each time. For me...one of the hardest things about becoming…

It's easy to be rude online when you don't have to look someone in the eye. Likewise...it takes integrity to be polite when you really don't have to be ;) Take the good with the bad and don't let it get you down!

The gym equipment does ask you to enter your weight. So does that make it a bit more accurate? It also has a HRM on it. I guess I am wondering if anyone has a HRM and has tested it against gym equipment that sounds like what I am using. Thanks.

That would be ideal but unfortunately I'm a fulltime student and mother of three so splurging on myself isn't much of an option. Im lucky enough atm to afford the gym membership ;)

I was going to advize using a swimming pool but after re-reading your post I see you can't get access to one here is a bump!

It sort of makes me laugh....I have girlfriends who complain they don't know where to find good men and those same women complain when they get hit on. You can't have it both ways, girls! ;) Talking to people isn't all that hard. And usually if you are tactful enough to let someone who is hitting on you know that you're…

It is a good way for everyone to monitor what you eat. If you're pregnant you should still monitor your fat ratio, sodium, ect to make sure what you are eating is good for mom and baby :) Plus, getting use to logging your food will be helpful once you are ready to shed any post-pregnancy weight!

I would change your goals. Changing your goals is NOT giving up and you shouldn't get down on yourself for it :) No one can anticipate how their body is going to react to the lifestyle change. For all you know, you body could be losing fat and gaining muscle which is why you are not seeing much of a difference in numbers.…

You look like a different woman! Very inspiring.....great job ;)

It is really none of their business. Like you said....you have a home and food for your children....and you're not asking them for money! I guess it seems really weird for me because no one in my family would ever over step boundaries like that! Then again....we aren't exactly "normal" either

At least it is comforting knowing I am not the only one! Did some excersize today (not as much as usual) and it did seem to help. Tomorrow I need to get back to getting my water in and push the excersize and we will see how it goes.

Looking good! ;)

Wow. That is horrible. It really does sound like she knows those sort of comments really bother you and that is why she dishes them out. Perhaps she feels threatened by the fact that you will always be your father's #1 girl! Have you ever directly called her out on her behavior? Trust me....if you only have 15lbs to hit…

I definitely use to be before MFP. But then I realized that I could have a "bad lunch" but make up for it with some extra excersize or better dinner choices. I no longer try to hold myself up to impossible standards but at the same time I keep my eye on the prize! I love how each day starts with a clean diary page ;)

If you are ever having one of those days where you feel like it's too much to do and you just want to give up. READ THE BOARDS AND LOOK AT THE TICKERS! You will always find inspiration here :) Good luck on your journey.

I didn't even know they made scales that did that! -lol- Where did you get it and how much did it cost?

So sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers. Remember that (at least around where I live)...you can find yogurt, fruit, and salads at the Convenience store if push comes to shove.

In Wisconsin we drink from a BUBBLER not a water fountain. A water fountain is something you throw your pennies in!
