I run fasted, could never have done it before keto but it's not a problem now to run for an hour after a 16 hour fast.

For me what helped to start with is to sub the carb with a cooked veggie, so the kids have sausage and mash I have sausage and cabbage with mayo rather than gravy. Spaghetti bolognaise, the kids have pasta I have broccoli. I have coffee with cream and sugar free syrup on occasion. Cream and berries for a desert. But…

I use a TDEE calculator and go from there. My calories are set for maintenance at goal weight and i just aim to get under.

I've exercised for years but it's not until I have had a grip on my food that I've managed to lose weight. Exercise is for mental health and body positivity, I love the achievement of getting better and good functional strength. Exercise makes me hungry but it means I can eat lots and still lose weight. When I don't…

Yes! sometimes i feel a little like a super hero

No, I used to get light headed when exercising before keto but it's really helped blood sugar issues. Also, I don't get the same sort of tired anymore, it's an odd sensation and my muscles recover so much quicker now.

I run 5-12k three or four times a week, mostly fasted. I've experimented with eating breakfast before but I feel fine running fasted and enjoy a large meal when I get back.
-
I in no way cycle at any speed but i managed a 4.5 hours mooch fasted at the weekend, i was hungry at the end but still had energy.

1400 to 1900 20-30 net carbs losing 1.5lbs a week on that now but 26lbs in 10 weeks.

I changed from being an every morning type of girl, to every 2-3 days, if you feel fine otherwise i don't think it's anything to worry about, less fibre, less bulk.

That is fantastic, i too am new to LCHF and now wonder why i was resistant to it for so many years when it works and its so easy to stick too. I shall join you in the happy dance.

Ive just found they have youtube videos on how to make them :-)

I have recently discovered quest bars and they are killing my food budget so a way to make my own would be fabulous.

That's fabulous news, well done. I am pleased she told you to lift weights, nice functional muscle is always a good thing to have.

My husband ate toast and butter the other evening, I had to make do with slices of butter lol
-
I add chia seeds to my smoothies but i have found that its the coconut oil that helps in that department more than the fiber

i grate a bit to make sweet potato hash (fried in butter) with some mushrooms and eggs in the morning

Haha yes, i am making sure i shower straight away after exercise. I do think its because i pushed myself a little harder than previous weeks, less than 10net carbs and lots of cardio - i lost 4lbs in 3 days and like magic a rash appeared. Its not grown since i upped the carbs a bit so i am hopeful i can get it under…
-
I thought you were safe if it was under 30 calories, so i would say it was fine, give it a go and see how you feel?
-
I've upped my carbs and stopped IF to halt ketosis for a while, it was climbing up the back of my head in a itchy, blistering red mess. I'm going to keep carbs at 50net for a week or so and see if it gets better (already feels a bit better today) and then ease back down and see if it comes back. How long to properly fat…

Add me, I've done five weeks and down 20lbs
-
You can add me too if you like, 5 weeks in, not sure my food is inspiring though lol
-
I calorie count, i TDEE minus 20% ish, mainly because i could easily eat a block of cheese and a bag of nuts without thinking. But i do concentrate on getting my correct macro's more importantly than the calories, if i am hungry i don't worry about going over.

mmmm pork crackling, off to Morrisons

I did a whole 30 last year and the thinking behind that has really stuck with me, you can do anything for 30 days, so thats what i do, just aim for 30 days, but that could just be 7 days. If its the weekends that are breaking you, just aim to get through that one weekend without wheat/grains and the rest will follow. I…

Day three was the worse for me

Antibiotics would be a very last resort. I am just going to up my carbs to 40 net rather than the 5-10 I've been having, maybe it was a bit low as I've upped my exercise in the past week, going to take it slow and be kind on my body.

Thanks, I'll take a look at that link. Since I wrote the initial post I've been to an exercise class, come back and it's spread across my chest and down my legs. I shall look at cutting out dairy :-(
