never ran a official race, but i run a 5k 3 to 5 times per week...i usually try to increase my time. I have heard that you tend to run faster in the 5k races, just due to the peeps running with you. did you exp. this?

600cals? wow, that would kill my cal intake for the day. i drink the shakes, but mainly use the powder and water...sometimes, ill add 1/2cup of skim milk to enhance the flavor. i try to keep my shakes around 300cals (double scoop)

it's the same...although, I consider treadmill jogging and when it's not hades hot outside, ill go for a run. But basically the same thing.

exercise with your kids...involve them. push them in a cart/stroller or whatever...make them your focus, since your overall health will benefit them. i think you are very courageous for posting your pics, and asking for advice...that takes balls! now take that start and focus it on your goals...

i try not to exceed 120carbs per day...its not that easy, but imo...has helped with my weight loss and plateau breaking.
