Vitamins & Supplements you MUST have.

Options
I'm just curious as to which vitamins & supplements people on here are taking.

Personally, I take:
- a multi-vitamin
- vitamin D, because I just don't get enough Sun where I live.
- Omega 3-6-9, to keep my heart healthy.
- Biotin, for healthy hair, because it's long.
- vitamin C, because I don't get enough citrus in my diet and it's flu season.

Mine aren't anything extreme or anything, but I wouldn't go a day without them (nb4 anyone says "I get all my nutrients from food", as do I, at least the vast majority, but I find vitamins tend to fill in any possible gaps).

Anyways, name the ones you can't go without and if you recommend any I'd like to hear about them.

I take a multi-vitamin with iron, and Vit. D - my blood tests come back as deficient if I take less than 2000iu's a day

But most importantly, Vit. B-12, either sublingual or injected, to treat my pernicious anemia . I literally MUST have that one, or I'd suffer irreparable nerve damage and die. Fun stuff!

i am taking a fat metabolizer that i saw in my local health shop, i just thought i'd try it

What's the fat metabolizer called? Is it a herbal supplement?

I was told that when you're on a calorie deficit regimen you should include a supplement to keep your metabolism humming; which I don't really believe is necessary. So long as you're not in starvation of any sort. The supplement suggested is called, Nettle. Does anyone know anything about it? Apparently it has Vtiamin A, C and D in it, so it has other benefits.

I don't take any.. Should I take some? I took iron for a long time, when I was having some problems that I thankfully no longer have..

I get most of my vitamins from my food, but my protein powder provides some, as well, and I also take D, because I don't get enough sun, and extra magnesium to prevent headaches.

I don't take any. If you eat a well-balanced diet, you don't need them.

-I take a kid's gummi-dino vitamin.I swear to God, those things are so delicious. If my mom would have kept them in the house when I was little I would have probably overdosed on them. I suppose that's why they don't contain any iron, though.
-Iron supplement. I donate blood every 8 weeks and it just helps me to make sure I've got a sufficient iron count for it.
-Sometimes a B-12. I only really take it if I've been feeling run down or I haven't gotten enough sleep.

I drink tons of milk already, so calcium isn't a problem. And I live in beautiful California, so if I need Vitamin D, I can walk outside, and if I need Vitamin C, I can grab an orange off of our tree. :) Hey! A rhyme! :)
