But you HAVE made changes. You're tracking your food now. You say you've been "doing this" for two years, so I'm curious... what were you doing before MFP?

My picks would be: 430 calories > Quarter Pounder WITHOUT Cheese 220 calories > Small Fries 000 calories > Water 290 calories > Strawberry Sundae __________ 940 calories :-) Check out McDonald's Nutrition Calendar ... http://www.mcdonalds.ca/en/food/calculator.aspx Enjoy your treat!

First of all, thank you for sharing your diary with us... and for your honesty. With this information, I summarized your last three weeks and did a little simple math. It goes like this: One pound of fat = 3500 calories. If you want to LOSE one pound in a week, you must REDUCE your calories by an average of 500 per day.…

That IS close! How does this work in MFP? I recently went a round of 18 holes but nothing in the MFP database describes it as such. So I entered five hours of "Golf, using power cart" for a total of 1383 calories burned. But now that looks too high, compared to yours. I'm still fairly new to the game, however. Maybe I…

I ran into the same problem recently while I was preparing linguine. The nutritional information on the package was for 85g of uncooked pasta. I weighed 85g of linguine and cooked my portion in a small saucepan. It weighed in at 200g once it was fully cooked, and it was just enough for one serving! Unfortunately, I didn't…

If you're familiar with the Internet and Google, you can find tons and tons of metric converters if you search for them. The calculators will convert anything you want .. distance, weight, temperature, volume .. even conversions needed for recipes, such as how many teaspoons there are in a cup.

The more I drink, the better looking I become! :drinker:

It's between Lee and Crystal??? I didn't know that!!! I've watched American Idol since the beginning, but the last few years I've been a little slack with tuning in. I missed a complete month recently because I was going to Aquafit classes twice a week.. that was horrible (missing AI, not the Aquafit)! But I'll definitely…

Last night I made some baked Bannock. It was baked in a 9"x13" baking dish, and cut into 28 squares measuring approximately 2"x2". I calculated the calories for the entire pan, then divided by 28 .. resulting in each square having roughly 110 calories and 5 grams of fat. I thought that was a little odd, considering I used…

Congratulations to you and your family, and Happy Mother's Day! I can especially relate to your statement about not eating until 2PM .. I remember doing that OFTEN with my babes! But it sounds like you have a healthy outlook and approach to your new life with baby and you're getting back on track with your work. Just let…

My twins turned 17 years old a month ago. Those were the days, huh? When I had my third two years later, I couldn't believe how easy it was .. only ONE of everything .. it was Heaven! Even with two 2-year olds in tow!

I also have a similar quote on my profile .. "Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels!" Welcome, and good luck on your journey.. :flowerforyou:

I toss mine into the freezer, sometimes including bananas that are still nice and yellow and firm. They freeze well and take very little time to thaw, coming out of the skin perfect for mashing. Once my freezer looks like a crazy, twisted mass of black bananas, I thaw all of them and measure them into small freezer bags,…

That sounds very much like another recipe I have for Banana Granola Pancakes (made with low-fat buttermilk). Once I taste-test them, I'll post the recipe and picture. In the meantime, I think I'll check out your link. A thread dedicated to pancakes?? I love it!!!! Signed, lindalloo (who could eat pancakes every day, all…

~LOL I know what you mean! After it was finished, slightly thickened, and still warm.. I took a few moments to daydream about the many things I could drizzle that sauce over!

I'm glad to see everyone is enjoying this recipe even if you're just looking at the picture (for now). Something I didn't mention in my original post is the texture. I found this recipe produced a pancake that was more like a potato pancake .. dense and "wettish." Not the usual light, fluffy bread- or cake-like pancake…

It IS yummy! And the best part is that I had four pancakes with the sauce (still warm *drool*) for supper last night and it was only 223 calories! I had planned for eight pancakes, but that was actually too much. Four left me perfectly satisfied! Gee.. I use a lot of exclamation points when I'm happy!

I purchased the P90x system two years ago and, up until last night, had worked out to only one DVD. That was last year. It was Plyometrics. Enough said! :noway: Tonight, I started over. This time I'm NOT going to get way ahead of myself, but listen to my body and honor my limits instead. It will all come in good time ..…

I don't always eat my exercise calories. But when I do, it's because I'm truly hungry for them. I think it's important to remember that we exercise NOT to "earn" more calories to eat .. but instead, to give our bodies the necessary energy in order to do the exercise in the first place. One reason I exercise is to burn…

I LOVE stuffed mushrooms and will definitely try this recipe! Thanks for sharing :flowerforyou:

Good for you that you're taking vitamins! I also started taking vitamins late last year and feel great for it. I wouldn't worry too much about going over on anything, especially iron. Most women don't have near enough iron in their diets and therefore benefit from supplements. I've been severely anemic for many years and…

NotSurprised >> "now what you need to do is go in their & show your appreciation to him by doing whatever he says after all he deserves it." I was thinking to myself as I read your response, "Gee, I sure hope he's kidding!" Funny! mommyhof3 >> You're absolutely correct! "Chit-chat, fun, and games" should also…

I haven't tried scallops or shrimp, but I imagine it would taste just as good! Here's the dish that I cooked the other night, served with brown rice.

Thanks, Michelle! My routine obviously needs some tweaking during the weekend. Next weekend I'll give it another shot! :flowerforyou:

Thank you, fabiolaenvy! I had to upload the image a few times before getting it right. At first it wouldn't load, then I figured out IMG has to be in lowercase. When I finally got it to work, it was HUGE .. so it took a few more attempts to get the right size. Thank goodness for the Technical Help forum  I think all…

There is very little I won't eat... seriously! Some foods I'm not crazy about, like cottage cheese or radishes, but I'll still eat them. Bananas are OK, but they're also leaning towards my B-list in recent years. However, I love mashing a banana into a bowl before adding my cereal and milk... a little habit I picked up…
