I am at the 5 lb mark as well. Only it has taken me longer than you. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, because I have been feeling a little discouraged lately. It seems to take me so long to lose 1 lb...thanks for reminding me that as long as I am losing instead of gaining it is all good!

I have to agree with you. I have been watching my calories and logging food and exercise and the weight loss is very slow. When I go on a low carb diet, I lose weight and I am not hungry. It really works for me. The only thing is that I am not sure it is a healthy diet as you restrict your fruit and grains so much, which I…

Hi Everyone, Update on the 12 weeks Till Summer Challenge. By the way I am 4'11 and 1/2". Almost 5'...lol. I find it is more difficult to lose weight being short, it seems to take me longer than my taller friends :cry: I didn't lose a pound last week. Thanks Jam and barbiecat for the advice! I will try that as sometimes I think I just can't do 30 minutes on the elliptical but going for a walk with the dog for 30 minutes seems less daunting.

Well the 8 glasses of water is tough...3 trips to the bathroom last night. I don't drink diet soda very often so that is not difficult. Can I include my cups of tea as water?? I have been on track for exercise so far anyway.
