Apart from the initial water weight I have been fairly slow and steady. I do weigh myself daily. I do find I can have a bit of a wooosh. I won't lose for a week and then I lose 2lbs the next then gain back 1 the following week and repeat.

I'm 5'4". Started at 150lbs and now at 131lbs. Aiming for 122lbs. Mostly be losing through diet. Exercise has been through walking, hiking and yoga. Feel free to add me.

Sauté as a side with meat. Add in stir fries or curries. Add to soups, add in risottos or pasta. Use fresh in a salad.

Just for today: Don't get overwhelmed by what feels like the beginning of seasonal affects disorder. Get a home yoga session in. Get some more friends on MFP for support.

For me it was around 15lbs. It depends on the people you're around too. I have lots of sisters so I hear from my mum that they've been talking about it more to one another than to me personally.

Both my mother and mother in law who are in their 60's and 70's and they have always been slim. My husband takes after his mother and is naturally slim and finds it difficult to put weight on. Genetics may play a part but all of them are active and have a sense of portion control. In my mother in laws case she eats really,…

While we're on the discussion of annoying labelling. I got a Bounty Bar and I forget the calories stated on the wrapper but when you look in more detail it's for just one piece rather than the whole bar.

Mayonnaise was pretty depressing. 10g square of Lindt 90% chocolate was surprisingly high but I'm not giving that up. That's my evening treat.

I only talk about it when someone instigates the conversation. However, I love cooking and I love hiking so I'll go on about that. I don't talk about it in a way to make it sound like I'm preaching as it's part of who I am and what I enjoy. I have sisters who just talk none stop about how amazing/irritating their kids are…

I use to work somewhere that had free food and was the highlight of my day too because I hated working there. I quit in the end but I wondered if you enjoyed your job? I would try and stick to eating at lunchtime. If you're hungry mid morning/afternoon have a big glass of water first and see if that curbs your pangs. If…

Buy a digital food scale. Log honestly and don't beat yourself up over one bad day, just move on. Stop calling it a diet, it's a permanent change in your eating habits and it has to be sustainable and enjoyable.

Exercise, boost up those endorphins. Punchbag works well for me when I have PMT. Or a hobby that keeps your brain and fingers from going to the cake time. Removing the stress may be impossible, but there may be ways of managing the stress easier and chip away at it rather than tackle it head on. Are you sleeping well? I…

Find what works for you. You do not have to calorie count. I do count calories and weigh 95% of what I eat and the latter is making most of the people who know me think I'm nuts but it works for me. I hope once I'm at maintenance I will have learnt portion control so I don't have to log and weigh as diligently as I am now.…

I got stretch marks during puberty when I went through a growth spurt. I'm 32 now and they're still visible. They don't bother me though.

I'm exactly the same with my weight loss. Great work.

Frustrates me too. I was expecting Jamie Oliver to be mentioned in that article somewhere now his irritating face is on the ban sugar bandwagon. People can see I've lost weight without giving things up, I tell them is CICO yet they'll still pick a 'diet' method and wonder why they couldn't stick with it and gained it all…

That's it's been rather stress free.

What would life be like if people equally commented on weight loss and weight gain. I might not have become overweight in the first place. I'm an introvert and not really one for broadcasting my life to everyone and I'm uncomfortable with personal comments and opinions from people that will range from my weight loss to why…

I have hollow legs when it comes to pasta. My portion sizes now are very sensible but if I had double I'd still eat it all.

Carbonated water with lime is my favourite. Lots of herbal teas out there you can try.
-
I normally reduce the sugar quantity stated in most cake/biscuit recipes by up to half and I don't notice any major difference in the taste.

I have carbonated water and a slice of lime. I'll have a drink maybe once or twice week and more if it's a celebration of some kind. Since I hit 30+ I can only drink 2 glasses of wine. More and I have the worse sleep. Shame as I love wine but it's empty calories. So I drink it less often but buy decent stuff for when I do.

Exercise helps for me as it's my crabby mood that kicks off cravings. Helps ease cramps too. Otherwise I'll let myself eat 200-300 over my allowance for a day or two and add in a few craving treats.

I'm just over 5'4". Started at 150lbs at the end of July. Currently 132lbs. Aim for 120lbs. Would like to be 126lbs by Christmas.

I'm working outside all this week so I prepped a hearty soup at the weekend. Just heat it and put it in a thermos. Add a piece of fruit and that's lunch.

I have coastline footpaths in Cornwall but I miss Snowdonia where I went last month. I love hiking there.

Cortisol the stress hormone increases when we don't sleep properly. Imagine you have a stress bucket and each night while you sleep you brain processes and empties it. If you're not sleeping you're not dealing with the stress.

1) it's not fat, it's contentment. I was slim when I was single and gained once I was in a relationship 2) I'm in an unhappy job. Once I change that I'll sort it out then. I changed job and was happier and still put on weight. 3) I love food and cooking. I had to realise I can still love and enjoy cooking and eating while…
