Have whichever treat you want, but in moderation! I set aside 150-200 calories a day in my caloric budget that is reserved for my nightly "treat". I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth. I have lost 29 pounds, and still treated myself every night ;) Just make sure it's within your caloric goals. Also, I really really like the Dr.…

Special K Protein Plus! Only 2 grams a sugar, 10 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber per serving. Super yummy with raisins or banana slices and skim milk!

I don't eat my work-out calories. Here are the reasons: 1. Workout burns are very general and not specific, unless you are using a body bugg or something of that nature. So, you could potentially be eating too much. 2. Your work-out calories are like extra credit! If you are not hungry or don't really need those extra…

You really should eat breakfast! it's so important.

I'd say that you shouldn't eat all of what you have burned. The calories you do burn are just an estimate and not completely exact. Since I'm trying ot lose weight I look at my work-outs as extra work and calories burned off, so I don't eat them. I would do that more if i was trying to maintain. If you are extra hungry,…

Try carrots and laughing cow cheese. One 70 calories for 14 baby carrots and a wedge of cheese. You could also do Cliff Z bars. They are super yummy, organic, and only 130 calories a piece!

Where do you live and what store did you go to? I can never find alternative bagels!!!

I am in in the exact same boat as you. If your roommate doesn't want to eat healthy or make lower caloric foods, then you will just have to watch your portion control. Make sure you know your calorie counts of the meals and make sure you portion out your food so that it will not put you over your calorie budget. Also, I…

Thank you! Why eat more? And how many calories do you mean?

I totally understand. I've been there. I was going through the same thing for a couple months and continued to gain weight. Turns out, it wasn't just what I was eating, it was my thyroid. My levels were way off, so my metabolism was basically nonexistent. I would have your levels checked if you seriously and honestly feel…

I feel ya. However, I've been really really good for the last couple months, since it's Christmas I'll let the one day slide. It wasn't too terrible, but it wasn't great. However, it was just one day. And, one of the more important days of the year! Yay for healthy eats from now on!

What's the taste like?

Found out what exactly is in the recipe and enter it into the recipe tool under "food" on MFP. It allows you to include all of the ingredients. So, if she made 10 tamales, put the serving as 10 and it will tell you how many calories are in one tamale. Once I discovered this tool, I can't stop using it!

This may be good in a pinch and better than the original Hamburger helper, but it is still a processed food. We need to focus on putting whole, natural, real foods in our bodies! Good luck on your journey!

Special K Protein Plus is great. It has ten grams of protein and five grams of fiber per serving. It's also low in a sugar and carbs. I usually add some raisins and serve it with skim milk for around 160 calories a bowl. It's yummy and filling.

Yes! I am 5'6, 137 lbs. Shooting for 127!

I would say to just be mindful and keep track of your calories. At subway go for mustard and no cheese to save room for other temptations later. If you do decide to get a milkshake, make it the smallest one and then skip on dessert later. And if you do choose to have chips or snacks, place your food on a plate so you know…
