Irritating people at pool.
Anyone else have these? At the moment there are 4 people I tend to get irked by. 1 poser with new girlfriend, tries showing off but does all his strokes so badly the rest of swimmers just stand there and cringe ( usually leaves pool rubbing shoulder or neck) 2 the guy trying to help wife over water fear however dragging…

Smart replies for those who insult you, either intentionally or unintentionally.
Briefly, I injured ankle last year, then suffered illness and have put on just over a third of the weight I lost (lack of exercise and comfort eating). I work voluntary with a morbidly obese lady, who seemed to resent the fact I had some success with weight loss. Was always on at me for being too thin, even though I had…

Triathlon swim section.
Am looking at maybe doing first tri next year. I usually swim in trunks, rash vest with sports bra underneath. ( don't get enough support with costumes). Also find a one piece doesn't fit either drops off shoulders, or next size down, digs in and I can't breath. This race is in pool and looking at last year photos only…

Gait analysis. What to expect?
Bought some running shoes from a running store six moths back. One that was reccomend and had pretty good ratings. Three members of staff on who all seemed reluctant to serve me as we're chatting to someone else. When one did finally come over explained I was new runner, to which he asked had I had a gait analysis done? I…

Confidence crash from complaint at pool.
I have a weekly swim lesson and this week pool was busy so were three of us in lane and three in next lane. Was passing girl in my lane same time as guy in next lane was passing someone and caught him with my foot. ( we were both very close to rope). I apologised at the wall, and thought that would be the end of. However…

Burnout or overheated?
I usually do several classes a week, swim at least twice a week, plus have a weekly pt session and try to do a couple of weights sessions. Until this week I have had no problems (though have only been doing grit sessions for the last two weeks). On Monday I had a high intensity class where the room was full and baking hot,…

Out of control gym bag.
Anyone else have this problem? Every now and then I empty completely, plus always launder gym wear and swim kit after use, but bag itself always seems to have magical powers and be full of stuff. Last clean out it had four combs, load of loose change, odd sock ( I swear I always take a pair of socks out of bag, but an odd…

Magazines? sorry if dumb question!
On occasion I like to flick through a magazine, eg if travelling or on odd occasion I have half hour free. Problem is I'm not a regular reader so no point in getting a subscription, but most shops often seem to have mens fitness mags and then the typical chick lit or celeb mags aimed at women ( both usually full of…

Get so mad at myself if i miss a gym session. Is this normal or start of problems?
Twice recently I have had to miss gym or pool sessions, one due to being overtired (on nights and got woken up twice). Second time was trying to cheer up friend who was feeling neglected, (they then moaned and talked non stop about some computer game all evening). Both times I ended up feeling really cross with myself,…

Lightheaded after pt session
Have had first pt session in nearly four months, different trainer and new gym. Got right to end and felt quite light headed during stretches ( only lasted a couple of minutes). Is this down to pushing too hard, being unfit after break or is something else going on?

Too thin. you've got to stop remarks.
Firstly I'm 5 6' high and weigh 165 at the moment. Goal is 140-150 and then may tweak from there. Am getting the too thin remarks off two or three people ( who all know each other ). One in particular is starting to become really annoying as she is ending phone calls with "you've got to stop dieting". I've tried explaining…

Sorry dumb question (pedometer )
Have fitness level set to lightly active and I aim for 10000 steps a day. I also have a pt session once a week, plus play tennis a couple of times a week. Both the latter I log as exercise. Should I remove the pedometer at those times as I don't want to double log exercise. ( I'm usually well over step count on those…

Spinach and tinned tomato recipes anyone?
I seem to have stacks of both of these! Luckily the spinach is frozen but would like to use some up. Has anyone got any simple recipe ideas for them. We always have an abundance of eggs too due to our hens so any recipes that could include eggs too would be even better.
