1 month in success?
Hey everyone! I’m tasking myself with a possibly difficult goal of losing 10 pounds in a month. I thrive off of others success so drop a before and after, some advice, or whatever you want to help inspire me ☺️

Whey vs. Plant based protein
I get the difference, but is one better for building muscle/recovery/nutrition in your experiences?

:[ did I ruin it?
Im only 6 days into keto, I must admit, but I've been doing good. I'm giving it a 1/2 mo trial to see how it affects me and if I like it. Anyways, I'm usually at about 5 net carbs a day because (I know this is bad, please don't attack me) I haven't really been getting any veggies in besides occasionally kale, and my…

what will it take to lose inches
Im not far enough in my journey where I expect to have lost inches, but previously I had lost 15 pounds without any change at all to my waist (where I carry all my weight). Only a noticeable change in my face. Maybe that not a lot of weight, Im not sure. what do you guys think? What gives?

Keto and protein
I started keto with the help of Dr. Eric Berg on YouTube. I’m giving it a 1-2 month trial to see if I’m going to like it. But anyways, I keep seeing “moderate protein” but how much Protein is too much??? I’ve been eating 1 meal a day but with working out it hasn’t been enough and I’m increasing 2. HOWEVER since keto is a…

Low carb people?
So, I'm already in a calorie deficit (also exercising) in order to shed 30 pounds, but I'm more into the diet. I hear a lot about low carb diets and peoples success from them here on MFP. I thought the calorie deficit was enough, but now I'm curious if anyone has seen great results from eating low carb? Would you recommend…

Impatient maybe?
I know I am very impatient when it comes to weight loss.. I’m that person that get discouraged when they don’t see results after a week haha. But I understand that’s not realistic, and am dedicated now even without immediate results. Regardless, I’m wondering if any of you were able to see results after a month of healthy…

Calling all smoothie connoisseurs
Guys, I'm a poor college student on a budget. I want to incorporate smoothies into my new diet but from the looks of it, they can be so darn expensive to make. Does anyone have any simple, BUDGET FRIENDLY smoothie recipe ideas? :) Any thoughts appreciated.

When counting calories...
When it comes to losing weight, I usually have good results when placing myself in a calorie deficit. Im doing this now. I hear a lot that it doesn't matter what you eat, as long as you're staying within your "calorie budget". Is this true? I mean personally I would not waste 500 calories on a piece of cake or something…

I'm torn
So I tried vegan about a month ago and lasted about 3 weeks... I caved and have been freely eating what I want ever since. But I really miss it. I was having fun cooking and felt so much better and energized, and I want to go back :( The problem seriously is that I don't think I can give up Mexican food lol. This is really…

Just need clarification
I read on MFP a lot that it doesn't really matter what I eat, as long as I'm still creating a calorie deficit.. but when I do research, every source still tells me no sugar, oil, carbs, ect. Im wondering if any of you have been successful in losing weight while still including sugars and things of that nature in your diet…

Soy-based protein powder
Essentially I'm trying to stay away from animal based foods so whey protein powder was a no go for me. So instead I bought a soy based protein powder(tastes awful and chalky btw). I heard that whey protein helps with getting rid of stubborn fat. Does anyone know if soy based protein powder does the same?

Help!...Routine?
This is a shot in the dark, but I'm wondering if anyone would care to share their weekly workout routines or even drop any links to any suggested workouts. I'm fairly new to the gym and as of now I have nothing to stick to and don't really know how the machines work or if using them would benefit me. I just walk in and…

What are chia seeds anyways?
What's the hype about chia seeds? Are hey good to include in a diet?

Feeling defeated...
I have been obsessively reading several success stories because I can't believe people are achieving a weight loss of 30-50 pounds since January. Good job to everyone meeting their goals and looking amazing but it's leaving me wondering why I haven't accomplished much. In a month I've only lost 4 pounds, not eating over…

Any Vegans out there
Okay, to say that I'm going vegan would be a stretch. I won't call myself one. However, I've been inspired (by a documentary that someone on MFP recommended) to try out a plant based diet. I'm reaching out to vegans because they follow this diet. What do you guys eat to ensure you're getting all your nutrients, and how…

Morning vs. night workout?
Personally, I have better mentality about eating cleaner when/after I work out. My current usual workout time is around 7/8 pm, and while I usually eat decent, I don't always and while I'm working out I always just stress and question why I ate whatever I did, but I have a better attitude about eating when I'm done- a…

Walking?
Maybe I'm just lazy but I really don't like working out. I try and stay positive and do my time lifting, workout on the elliptical, the abs machines, and so forth, but when it comes down to it, walking a mile or 2 is my favorite form of exercise. I usually set the incline up to about almost halfway and speed walk. This…

Logging meals???
Sorry, this is a little off topic of the thread but I didn't know where else to post this... How do I go about counting calories in my meals? I always have a hard time logging around dinner time and sometimes just don't because I have no way of telling how much beans and onion I may have gotten in a bowl of chili. Any good…

Binging..
I have been sticking to a 1200-1500 diet and working out often. I'm going on my third week. It isn't a struggle for me to eat clean and healthy... the problem is when I indulge. I can't just have 1 piece of pizza, I have 3. I can't just have a serving of candy, I eat the whole thing. Afterwards to don't experience a ton of…

Vegetarian ADVICE!
So I'm new at this vegetarian thing. I'm about 2 weeks strong but people keep freaking me out about not getting enough protein!! I consume about 60grams of protein a day that usually comes from an egg, a protein bar, nuts, and a meal replacement shake. I work out everyday except saturdays for at least one hour.. thoughts,…

Flavored water??
I've been drinking those carbonated flavored waters. They claim to be 0 calories and no sugars. I drink one when I get tired of tea and water as an alternative to sofa. Are they healthy or am I fooling myself?

Food post workout?
The best time of the day for me to work out is typically around 8 or 9 pm. I don't know why but when I'm done I am literally, physically so hungry. I have a fairly low calorie intake of around 1200 and I burn roughly (according to the machines) 400-500 calories in a little over an hour of working out. I don't know if this…

I need some advice please!
I'm a 19 year old female. I'm 5'2 weighing in at about 160 pounds. My goal for now is to loose about 30 pounds. I've always been pretty sedentary but the motivation to loose weight has stopped that. Anyways, the point of this post is to see if my plan I have been sticking to is healthy and will aid in loosing weight... I…
