Turn off Fitbit Steps - Still get calorie adjustments?
I turned off the fitbit steps in MFP because I just didn't care to see it show up as exercise. Will this impact the fitbit calories adjustments from appearing as well? I have negative adjustments enabled too.

Fitbit not syncing calories adjustment or steps to MFP
I've already posted to Fitbit support, but thought that someone on here may have a workaround or suggestion. Just bought a fitbit one and having issues syncing to MFP. I've already revoked/reinstated access to both accounts a few times with no fix. And logged out/back in to both accounts. MFP is syncing to Fitbit just…

Step 1: Admit you need a change
Hi, I posted in the introduction area too, but thought I might actually stick with this long enough to warrant a longer thread. Lol I'm 36 yrs old, 5'3, and 145 now. I was 178 at my highest I'm 2014, lost 30lbs by restricting in 6 months, and even got down to 131 last year. Since then, it's been a balancing act between 3…

Activity Level Help
I'm still struggling with the correct activity level to choose. Any help would be much appreciated. Female, 5'3, 36 years old CW: 142 GW: 130 I've plugged my numbers into both the Scooby website calculator and Heybales (MFP user) spreadsheet and came up with the following. Scooby (assumes 1-3 hrs light exercise per week)…

Stronglifts 5x5, NROWL, Strong Curves or Thinner, Leaner, Stronger???
It's great that there are so many options now, but there are SO many options now! lol. I've been on Stronglifts 5x for about a month, but I'm not sure it's for me. The weight increases are really fast, so I've had to cut back, and I add on 5 accessory lifts because I feel like I'm not targeting everything I want to. In…

Issue with women's bar and squat rack
So, I am on week 1, day 2 of SL and encountered my first issue. No one was available to help me at the gym, so I thought I'd reach out here for suggestions. I am using the women's bar, which is not only lighter, but shorter as well. I'm 5'3 with shorter arms, so I actually find the women's bar to be easier to use. Anyway,…

Women's bar / power rack issue
I asked this question in a smaller forum, but wanted to open it up to the masses. I am on week 1, day 2 of stronglifts and am using the women's bar. It's not only lighter, but shorter as well. I'm 5'3 with shorter arms, so I actually find the women's bar to be easier to use. Anyway, I did not add any weight on the bar day…

Newbie here - Stronglifts and distance running?
Hi, I plan to start Stronglifts this week (today, actually), but I'm also training for a half marathon in October. I've read in a few forums that because of the squats, distance training is quite difficult. Is anyone on here doing both? Any guidance you can provide would be appreciated! Also, as an SL newbie, I am super…

Need MFP Friends and Motivators
Hi, I'm back for another round after being lazy the last several months. I'm 36, female, 5'3 and currently 148lbs. I got down to 132 and allowed myself to creep back. My goal weight is 125. If you're an MFP poster and motivator, please friend me! I could definitely use the support!

Running app with pace alert?
I am looking for a running app with a pacer feature on it. The kind that beeps if you've set a target pace and you're above or below it... I know there are watches that do it, but I don't want to spend $100, if there's an app that does the same thing. Runkeeper has a "Pace" workout, but it doesn't communicate during the…

Sworkit Pilates
Does anyone use this? I'm starting a new routine and will be strength training 3 days a week and I'd like to add Pilates twice a week. My gym doesn't have classes, so I'm looking for a good app that I can use. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Italian Restaurant - which would you get?
Going to a small italian restaurant tomorrow for dinner and it has a small menu. I don't like the pasta with red sauce option, and the chicken is only chicken parm. The fish doesn't sound good either. So, I was thinking either handkerchief pasta with pesto, parmesan and olive oil or the margherita neopolitan pizza. I think…

Difference between cutting and weight loss
I've seen both used, but not sure if there is a difference between the two. If there is, what is it? Can you explain when you'd do one versus the other? I'm 5'3, 137 and am trying to get in to the mid 120's. Lean and toned :)

When to pay attention to macros
Last question of the day... I am looking to lose the last 10-15 lbs and wondering if watching macros will help get me to my goal. I'm 5'3, female and currently at 137. I have been in a calorie deficit, which was working, but always seem to stall out in the mid 130's. Previously, I'd get frustrated and go back to old…

Friends looking to lose 10-15lbs
Hi, Before I started MFP, my high weight was 175 in 2014. I lost 30 lbs on my own and have been fluctuating between 135-145 for the last year and a half. Now I'm using the TDEE method and the MFP community to help with the last 10-15lbs. Looking to add friends in similar situations.

All day HRM tracking - accurate TDEE
I just bought a fitbit one, but think I'm going to return it as the calorie budget/food section is really confusing and calorie burn isn't accurate. So, a few questions...If I did want to track my HRM all day using a chest strap and use it to calculate a more accurate TDEE and workout calorie burn, 1. Is there a brand that…

Following TDEE method, net calories under 1,200
I'm 5'2, 138 and trying to drop the last 15lbs. My TDEE -20% is 1450 calories/day (maintenance is 1875). On the 3-4 days that I work out harder (450-500 calorie burn), is it ok that I'm netting under 1200? I keep reading that you shouldn't go under, but it's confusing when TDEE calculates you do just that.

Low/No Carb Protein Powders - Reviews/Suggestions
I'm looking for a low carb or no carb protein powder. Both ISO-100 and Isopure seem to get good reviews online. I tried mixing another brand (Vega mixed berry) with water and it was gross. Tasted a chewed like thick water. lol. I'm looking for more of a chocolate milk consistency, so I'll buy almond milk or something to…

Milestone day
Today was a big day for me. I was running errands all day, decided I didn't want to go home to eat lunch and that I'd pick up a slice of pizza at Whole Foods while doing my shopping. So, I had a slice of pizza. My world didn't end. My diet didn't end. I didn't give up for the rest of the day or go on a food bender. I had a…

Individual or Small Batch Desserts
Looking for dessert ideas for Easter. There's just 3 adults, so I don't want to make an entire cake or dessert that serves 8, but I will if the recipe's good ;) My brother is super picky, so most likely it will need to be a cheesecake (key lime), lava cake, coffee cake, tiramisu, etc. Suggestions???

Organic/Non Artificial Gummy vitamins
Any recommendations for a gummy women's multivitamin that's either organic or not completely artificial? I am borderline iron deficient, so a little boost there would be nice too. There's so many options, I just don't know what to choose. And, yes, gummies are preferred. My inner child doesn't like large pills.

Sodium?
I've seen that the standard is 2,300 per day, but does that change based on gender and weight? I know it's not a "major" category to track, but when I was averaging 2,000/day, my trainer said that was high and I had too much salt in my diet. I cut back, but not sure what an appropriate range is. BTW - I'm female, 5/3 and…

Trying out the TDEE Method - How often do you change it?
I'm 36yrs old, female, 5'3 & 142lbs and trying to get to the mid 120's. I workout 6 days a week (3 run and 3 boxing) but have a desk job, so I set my activity level to sedentary and my workouts to "moderate" 5 days/week @ 45min each just in case I miss one. I used the IIFYM website and calculated my BMR as 1309, TDEE is…

TRX Suspension / Resistance Bands
Hi, I belong to a boxing studio and while they do have free weights, the area is really small and it's difficult to get in there and lift weights. Logging fruit & produce
I was logging my afternoon pink lady apple and there are literally dozens of apple options with a wide variety of calories/macros to select from. This applies to all fruits and produce, but how do you know you're selecting the right one? The Whole foods Pink Lady apple is 100+ calories for 6oz, but the Trader Joe's Pink…
