Sodium?

I've seen that the standard is 2,300 per day, but does that change based on gender and weight? I know it's not a "major" category to track, but when I was averaging 2,000/day, my trainer said that was high and I had too much salt in my diet. I cut back, but not sure what an appropriate range is. BTW - I'm female, 5/3 and 141.

If you are a healthy person who does not have a medical need to track sodium than don't worry about plus 2,000 my is not too much that is what I am on as a Dr prescribed low sodium for my kidneys. Your trainer is not a Dr or a nutritionist so has no idea what you need nutritionally.0
