Feeling demotivated

CrossFit and calories
I recently started cross fit in June and my coach said to increase the calories I am eating. I eat around 2080 calories a day vs 1500 that I was eating and I have lost 6 lbs .. should I stay at these calories to get stronger at lifting? Should I reduce them or increase them? So far coach has said to stay at these calories

Running
I recently started running in June and I have increased my run up to 3 miles. I happened to mention it to my family and they just said that since I’m 38 I shouldn’t run... do any of the people who run know if age would effect anything? Any suggestions to keep safe ?

Feeling Sleepy
I wake up at 4:15 to get to the gym by 5 these days as it is way less crowded at that time. However, around 11-12 or 4-5, I feel really sleepy. Would be nice to be able to take a nap.

Meal Planning and Crossfit
My cross fit coach told me to increase the amount of calories I am eating, so I did and I lost 5 lbs, but sometimes it gets hard to track macros and get the right amount of protein, fat, carbs. I always feel that weight loss should be a simple formula of calories in vs calories out.. Is it the same when building strength?

I have tried 2 cross fit workouts and I really like them.. but people have told me that you can easily get injured easily, so I am a bit weary to join. Are there any people on our forums who do crossfit regularly and do they have any advice as to if its safe to join or not?

How to create a calorie defecit
I did some weight lifting this morning and am about to do a spinning class on Peloton now, but I went over a little for calories with lunch. It's much easier to eat calories then it is to burn them somehow.

Goals for May
My goal for this month is to make sure and track my calories every day. I've set my goal to lose weight, so I will try to stay within the calorie range and not use all of my exercise calories that I earn. Feeling frustrated
I am 5'5 and weigh 149 lbs - It's super frustrating to me that I don't feel good about myself. I work out every day and eat healthy and can't seem to get down to around 135 which is how much I would like to weight.
