My new oatmeal breakfast
Typically it's cooking oatmeal with milk, then adding some frozen blueberries 30s from the end. And separately, protein powder in water. My latest protein powder I opened is MuscleTech cookies and cream, and I wondered what that would be like added to overnight oats. The answer... delicious. It's been a long time since I…

How many calories would you estimate for breading tilapia?
Plain tilapia is bland as hell, but when breaded it's quite good. I know the calories for the tilapia, which would be about 4.8 ounces == 132 calories (mostly protein), and I'm wondering if anyone can ballpark the additional calories after breading it? I realize it may depend on many factors including the brand, which I…

So, I finally trained abs
Yeah, yeah, I know, I should have been doing that all along. Anyway, to quote David Bowie: This is ground control to Major Doms You've really made the grade I haven't had doms like this in years! The moral of the story? Never train abs! :)

Looking for bands recommendations
I'll be traveling for a couple of weeks in summer so I thought let's finally get some bands. And probably a pair of handles and door stop too. I already have barbell and db's so any use they get at home will probably be minimal. While traveling and doing full body workouts I want to be confident they won't suddenly snap.…

Net Calories graph is broken on the website
On the 7-day view, I can't get any number showing other than my daily maintenance number, no matter where I put the mouse. On the 30-day view, I can get the data, but the mouse placement to get some days is harder than it should be.

Did they add a bunch of stuff to Reports?
I went to check my Net Calories for the last week and I don't recall seeing so many options there for reports? And the graphics are improved a bit, on desktop anyway. There are options for Protein per day, every other macro, Fitness Calories, etc., which I don't remember seeing before.

Anyone else unable to click on their food items in the diary on desktop?
Been that way for at least an hour or two for me. Android app works fine.

After vacation break, weekly weigh-in, pleasantly surprised
I was away on vacation recently, indulged, went to the upper end of my maintenance range (+/- 3 pounds or so) as a result. That's fine, I'm not worried. Since coming back two weeks ago, I was still indulging a bit, in part with the chocolate I brought back. It's so good, couldn't resist. Last week: Mon and Tue, 2.33 pounds…

Are those taking Wegovy or Ozempic also doing resistance training and increasing protein?
I've seen reports about high amounts of lean mass being lost along with the expected fat loss while on these drugs. I don't know if that's just a side effect of rapid weight loss without resistance training and/or increasing protein, or if the drugs have a more specific effect with lean mass retention. I assume it would be…

Food diary, can't view report from dates X to Y
I tried last night and now, for Aug-now and for Sep-now, and the site just returns "Uh Oh, problem, return to MFP". Using website.

Unable to log in on desktop
I've tried on Chrome and Edge. I was logged in at the time, says "problem with your request". I also cleared cookies. Cannot log in via incognito either. Has been this way for some hours. App is working fine.

Is it as simple as weekly CICO?
tldr : If someone maintains a deficit of 400 per day for 6 days of the week, and binges for 2,400 extra for one day, will their weight stay constant? A weekly CICO model would say yes. Is it really that simple? I've been using a spreadsheet to track my daily net calories and weekly weigh-ins, to get a better estimate of…

500 pound fitness influencer's journey
I watch Coach Greg's channel, IFBB pro, and he's mentioned this 500 pound guy before. Today, long interview with the guy. What a tremendous attitude he has. Down 75 pounds so far, working out a lot, talking about his journey, seeing clear improvements to his fitness already, also side bonus he's saving lots of money on…

Six weeks progress over Thanksgiving and Xmas period
I weigh myself once per week, each Monday morning. For the three months before Thanksgiving, I was in the range of 218-222 (tall male). I'm now 224, with a peak of 226 in mid December, so about 4 pounds gained in six weeks. I'm aware that with a weekly snapshot, there could be noise on any given day, but I don't feel the…

Bodyfat test of Alex Eubank and Abigail White
Coach Greg doing a live bodyfat test of both here. Very interesting results. It's enlightening to see the differences here, like a live version of that comparison picture that often gets posted here in the forums. Results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN6JeVt81mo

Why do people track water?
I see in the bugs/complaints sub-forum, numerous posters complaining about some issue tracking their water intake. Why? Do people here typically track their water? If you aren't sure if you're drinking enough, or if you're feeling thirsty, drink more. Yes, it's possible to drink too much but unless you have a specific…

Any recommendations for weights plates brands?
I need to expand my collection of 2" weights and the brand I have is a bit expensive.

Is a scale like this RENPHO BMI etc. scale worth getting?
I've only ever used a regular scale, and never had my BMI properly checked. As I get closer to my target weight, I was wondering if I should upgrade to something like this, so I can better track progress rather than only looking at weight. This rechargeable scale costs a bit more than the battery version, and I think I'd…

About the tracking of exercise calories
So I add the calories from exercise, and things have been going well for many months. I was thinking about this scenario today: Let's say I burn 250 calories in half an hour on the exercise bike. And say my TDEE is around 2200 calories, which is about 90 per hour on average, to make it easy let's call that 100 per waking…

Can oatmeal plus protein powder be good?
I love oatmeal with milk, but I don't often have it recently because the protein to calories ratio isn't to my liking. So I figured I'd add a scoop of vanilla protein powder. And it was utterly horrendous. It seems I did screw up by adding the powder at the start instead of the end when it was boiling. I added some extra…

Why are the daily goal calories targets different between the site and the app?
On the site, my daily goals calories number is 210 higher than on the app. So when I use the site today, it looks like I've had a small calorie deficit for the day, but when I use the app it says I've gone over.
