Medication and Eating
Quick question, If someone is on a medication and it causes loss of apetite, should they force themselves to always get in the recommended amount of calories? Will not getting in enough food be bad for their metabolism etc. over the long run? (Maybe force is a bad word, should they try eating foods higher in cals. etc.)

Lifting workout help
I need a few idea's. I'm doing SL 5x5, I have a torn rotator cuff, It's been twinging a little when I do my OHP's and Chest press.. I was wondering what assistance exercise would help strengthen the muscles in and around my shoulders? I've been doing lat Pull downs so far. Also I need to strengthen my hamstrings, and most…

Advice..
I was looking at the SL Excel sheet and my numbers.. Somehow I am way off! I haven't had any stalls or deloads yet.. I credit this with bieng stronger in lower body and so my squat is progressing faster, I think I increase by 10 instead of 5... But because of my rotator cuff issues I've been following the plan (sort of)…

Protien
I normally use AMP wheyobolic extreme.. The taste is good, I like the protien/carb/calorie ratio, I know, but it's important to me! Anyone know of any reasonable substitues out there that may be cheaper but comparable? I love the protien but that price is rediculous. :grumble:

Question about rows
Today, I couldn't take it any longer! The clamps are longer than the weights, I tried placing plates under; but the clamp just kept hitting them and giving me even set downs and rolling. (our gyms plates have those flat edges) out of frustration, I just jumped about 20 pounds after my warmup. I went straight to the 25…

Considering doing one of these, has anyone
Had any experience with having them done? Consider it worth it? BodPod Test – this test measures your body composition, or more specifically, what percent of your body is made up of fat mass versus fat-free mass (i.e. muscle, bones, water, etc). For this test, you will sit in an egg-shaped chamber for approximately 2…

Bieng large and gaining muscle? weight...
Say your 300 lbs. You need to be under 200 lbs. You are lifting weights also. Muscle does weigh more than fat, however, at that high a weight should you be gaining (even if it's muscle) as opposed to losing?? Or could there be an imbalance somewhere?

Help me understand please...
Ok so I did my BMR once again.. Now I know 1 lb. is 3500 calories right? Ok so my BMR says I burn 2047 calories doing nothing. Now if I multiply that by 7, that means I need 14,329 calories in a week. Subtract 7000 calories from that to lose 2 lbs. a week, and I get 7329 calories, now if I divide that back into the 7, I…

Rant about Polar & Bodytronics
I'm SOOOO pissed!! I got a Polar FT4 from Bodytronics. In the same day?? (golds gym, cast/w a kind of foam around the bottom) anywho, I am following Skogg's presently and I even looked on youtube, My goal is to get good form before I start tossing around a heavier one, which proved to be good advice when trying to switch hands on an upswing and…

Kettlebell and Lifting
I like lifting, I just got kettlebells and i like them too. My question is, If I lift, can I use lighter weight kettlebell workouts as my cardio the next day? I know you need to give your muscles recovery time in between working out and I'm not sure if kettlebell is considered weight lifting. My goals, lose weight, build…
