My father was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabeties. My parents are in their 80's and a bit confused. I want to plan some meals & possibly freeze in vacuum seal bags, to make life easier on them, and ease my mind that they are eating right.

Caution: Extreme hiking possibly linked to weight loss
I have been eating homemade foods & organic foods. Last year I hiked 423 miles, this year I have a goal of 500. I am at 54% only 232 miles to go by December 31, 2013. I also try work out at least 3 times a week if not everyday.

Adjust activity settings on busy days?
I am assuming that this would be right? During the week I work at a desk, with not much movement at all. But on the weekends, I hike A LOT! I've been known to hike both days on the weekend up to to 15 miles , or hike 10 miles on Saturday & clean my mothers house on Sunday. So would think changing my activity setting on the…
