How can I lose this stubborn thigh fat?
I know that as a female it will be more difficult for me to lose my inner thigh fat, but the way it gathers by my knees is so unflattering! Does anyone know the cause of fat collection in this area or what I can do, aside from proper nutrition of course, to improve the looks of this area? Photos are below. I am currently…

Not sore anymore?
I’ve been back to working out for a little over a month now. About two weeks ago, I stopped feeling sore, so this week I decided to change my routine. Instead of doing 3 sets of 8-12 reps, I’m now doing 6x6 at a higher weight. Ex. Monday I did 6x6 walking lunges with 30 lbs dumbbells instead of using 2 20 lb dumbbells for…

Should I eat vegetables with my cheat meal?
So, I’m feeling a cheat... I have been craving some fried chicken from one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood for a week now, so I think I am going to cave. Should I eat some sweet potatoes and green beans with my chicken and fries? Or should I avoid adding any more calories to the meal? And, does a cheat meal not…

Women lifting heavy?
I feel somewhat silly posting this, but... All my life I did not understand why women were afraid of lifting heavy weights. All I ever saw were posts or articles advocating for heavy weight workouts for women. Now that I am older and more serious about my fitness journey, I must ask: Should I go heavy weight, low reps, or…

Did I really gain 4 inches in a month?
It’s safe to say that the time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day can be a rough one for us all. Between the holidays and stressful times at school, it is so hard to stay active and eat right. I can admit that I ate out and ate sweets far too often... But is it really possible that I gained 4+ inches on my waist in…

Cheddar cheese?
So I hate eggs. Hate them. No matter how they're cooked, the texture repulses me. But, when they are scrambled with cheddar cheese, they are delicious. I recently bought Kraft fat-free cheddar cheese and use about 1/4-1/2 cup with 1 egg for breakfast. I don't think it's that terrible, but some make it seem like cheese is…

Need friends and motivation!
I recently lost 10 pounds, binged and gained 7 -- how discouraging. I'll be really dedicated for a month or so, but then slip back into my unhealthy habits. MFP/tracking my food definitely helps in my healthy eating and I would love more motivation and friends to share my journey with! Anyways, to introduce myself, I am…

Is alcohol a cheat meal?
I'm not asking if you think it is a good idea to use alcohol as your cheat meal -- I know that your cheat meal could be whatever you like. My question is: if you were going to have a night of drinking, would you consider that your cheat meal, or would you go to the McDonald's drive thru later in the week and get a large…

Plateau from clean eating?
So, everyone says you lose weight by eating clean/calorie deficit, and you tone from working out. I have been trying to lose weight since 2011 (30 lbs so far) but I have hit a MAJOR plateau. It seems that at first clean eating was enough for me since my prior eating habits were so poor (soda, poptarts, etc). But now,…

I can't eat enough!
On a daily basis, if I eat when I'm hungry and until I'm satisfied, I consume at the most 990 calories. I know I need to eat more, especially because I do intense workouts such as Insanity 3-4 times a week. I don't know what to do! Are there any higher calorie (but healthy) foods I can eat?

30 Day Shred pain?
so, yesterday I did the Insanity fast & furious workout. today I’m trying level 1 of the 30 day shred (hoping to start the program) but 10 minutes through the video I started experiencing extreme lower stomach pain. like cramps. I stopped and took a 1 minute break with some water and felt better, but the second I got back…

is it about what you're eating or the calories?
I was wondering this today, because my mom is making pizza for dinner. I know her pizza is more healthy than pizza from Domino's or Papa John's, but it's still pizza. at the end of the day, does it matter where my calories came from or does it just matter that I was under/met my goal?

the striiv app - is it accurate?
I'm a high school student and I have this app on all day while I'm at school. I'm 5'6", 179 lbs. this app is telling me that when I walk 2.3 miles I burn 589 calories - but I want to know how accurate this is? I don't want to cheat myself by eating more/not exercising because of this app.
