What to do first?
Does it matter whether you do cardio or weights first? A trainer told me you should do weights first, but why would it matter? Any ideas?

I just bought a TX 200 HRM, and I'm excited to use it tonight. Does anyone have this one, or any experiences good or bad? I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Too much protein?
I'm noticing that I'm going over in my protein everyday...it's not by much....between 50-70 on average. That's not going to hinder my weight loss is it? Isn't the BIG thing, protein protein protein? TIA all!

Running/walking
I tried a different "routine" today on the treadmill. I would walk very fast paced for 5 min and run for 2, walk for 5, run for 2.....is there any real benefit to that, or was I just doing that to feel "cool" lol? TIA MFP! :)

Surgery is over...back in the game
I had shoulder surgery a month ago Saturday, so obviously I've been focusing on recovery, and not weight loss. Well, my tighter pants and 6 lb weight gain convinced me to get back on track. Whey Protein
I was thinking of getting some powdered whey protein and using that as a quick and easy breakfast, but I got scared because on the container it said "not to be used for weight reduction." WTF? I am not working out hardcore, I just wanted something to keep me full in the mornings. Any thoughts?

Low burn vs high burn
My mind tells me that every workout I do is worth it no matter how big or small. Today I only burned 200 and some change calories with a walk outside (it's beautiful in AZ today) and I'm used to burning like 800 plus with my DVD's. I feel BAD for such a low burn. Serving size question
This is going to sound completely dumb, but this is how bad I am at math!! lol.....If my cereal serving size is 3/4 cup and I don't have that particular cup size, if I use the 1/4 cup 3 times, that's right right?? thanks!

cramps.....
What causes side cramps? I get them sometimes during my workout, but they eventually go away in the middle of it. I'm curious what causes them in the first place.....anyone know? TIA

A great NSV!!!

Back on track

avocados??
I loooooooove avocados.....probably my fav food! anyway, I had one for dinner and after I added it, realized they have a lot of calories!! I thought avocados were healthy to eat?? I feel guilty over a damn avocado.......advice anyone?

Sprucing up my oatmeal
So I just started eating whole grain oatmeal (not the instant kind) for breakfast. I am cutting up a banana in it for flavor, but it's just not sweet enough. Any ideas of something I can add to it without adding tons of calories? (I'm trying to stay away from straight sugar). Thanks all!

Yummy but simple
So I had the best lunch today. I laid down 3 pieces of lettuce, topped each with 2 slices of roast turkey deli meat and 1 tsp of spinach artichoke dip with crab and shrimp, and topped each with mrs. dash. it was soooo good. you have to try it. i also had 1 hard boiled egg on the side. so little calories and filling!
