I am meeting some friends for dinner at Texas Roadhouse in about an hour. What is something on the healthy side I can eat there? I was thinking the grilled salmon.....suggestions?

They have really good grilled chicken breast and steamed veggies. Salmon wouldn't be bad either. Oh and their salads are really yummy too!

DO NOT EAT THE ROLLS THEY ARE 300 CALORIES A PIECE!!!! That is not even including the yummy butter on them! I guess if you have a crap load of calories left then you can but I would just stay away.

It's funny, I just ate there last night. It stinks that they don't have their nutrition info up, but they explain that on their website. Apparently it's difficult to gauge because the restaraunts make everything from scratch so their info was mostly estimates. Then people started getting mad and wanted them to be more detailed, so they dropped it.

The nice side of that is that since they make it from scratch you can make requests! Like the green beans are made with butter and bacon, which the waitress made it seem like I could get it without (I asked if they were spiced and just decided to be lazy and get them regular, lol. Didn't eat most of them anyway). I ordered the shrimp and didn't bother about the seasoning but asked for the butter on the side. Just pick something good and try to get them to fix it in a way that'll work for you.

    Very evil rolls...so tasty...

Just in case someone else looks at this topic. Any grilled Chicken breast from any of the dinners at Roadhouse contains 512 calories! Do not get it. The 6 oz steak is about 330 calories but any of the dinners you are going to be adding on alot in sides. Steamed Veggies are only 90 calories, green beans 35. All of their baked potatoes (white and sweet) are dipped in a butter sauce before being baked so just forget it!

Any of their dinner salads would be a better choice. The Chicken Critter salad contains 670 caolries but that is including all the toppings (bacon cheese etc) and one can easily take half of it home so that would be a 335 calorie dinner! Rolls are only about 200 calories, not over 300.
