Hello all, I was debating posting this but I have stepped up and wanted to… I went to my Doctors yesterday to followup on some blood work (was done fasted at 10am) I had done a week ago. I found out that I had Low Testosterone, low Iron, and slightly elevated liver enzyme ALT. I am scheduled to do more blood work again…

low intensity to high intensity... how to alter routine...?
Found out this week the cause of my headaches, some degenerative disc disease, so to make a long story short, I have to reduce my intensity (well increase, actually). I have had to take out squats for the time being. I had been doing an RPT style routine 3 x a week. Workout A - Squat, OHP, Chins. Workout B - Deads, Bench,…

Setting Activity Multiplier…
Ok so I have usually have my multiplier set for Moderately active (3-5 days of mod activity) I did a total body w/o 3 x a week, and ran 5-6 miles 3-4 days on the non weight training days. Enough work to qualify as moderately active IMO. Im still running a daily deficit (500-750 cals) and my main goal is fat loss, and…

Are there Caloric Cycling Programs/Apps??
Does anyone if there is such a thing? So if you cycle your caloric intake, you could set up 2 different intakes (ie: Lifting Day and Rest Day), with macros, etc.??? Would be cool if MFP could do that, Well I suppose it could but it would be a pain in the *kitten*! Thanks

Stronglifts 5x5 - scared to fatten up...
Hi all, While I am no expert in weight training or nutrition by any means, i do now enough to get by. I have learned so much in the past few years. YOU can do this!!!
Think this is better posted here instead of where it was.... After losing a lot of weight (fat and muscle), by doing straight mod- high cardio 6 times a week, and eating a very low caloric intake ~1200-1400 cals, didnt follow macros at the time, just stayed under them all. Didnt really give it much thought, i was solely…

Running a deficit and 5x5 training
So based on what I have read and suggestions from others, I think I will be starting a 5x5 routine next week. Now I know that strength builds muscle, but if im still running with a 20%-25% deficit (500-650 for me), is the 5x5 the best option? Will I cut if Im on a deficit, obviously it will be near impossible to build…

Hi all, Looking to invest in a HRM. There are many on the market, not sure which one would be best. Not looking for anything with all the bells and whistles. Just want a reliable one to track my Heart rate (obviously). Also one with GPS and ability to track runs, and cals burned, would be a good idea i suppose, but I use…

Raw or Cooked weight?
Prolly a silly question that has been asked a thousand times, so i apologize in advance...lol For those of you that weigh your meat (protein), do you weigh raw, or cooked (chicken, fish, etc. we dont eat red meat)? Are most of the weights in database raw weight? I would assume the cooked weight is lower, through the loss…
