Hopefully somone out there can relate...
I have what I refer to as FatMan symdrome...
I exercise everyday, out of fear of going back to where I was... maybe to the point of doing more harm then good for my body, ie metabolism. There is a ton of litature on how important rest is, and how over taxing your system, bites you in the *kitten*, and i have read them, yet I still push myself...
Dont get me wrong, I lobe to exercise, and i will never go back to where I was...
But my weight loss has slowed, almost plateaued...
I do Big 3 routine (RPT type) 3 days a week, and i run (4-6 miles) 4 days, no days of rest (well maybe one, if I run on training day), I do feel tired, sore at times, especially as the weights get heavier... I am no doubt doing more harm. I run a deficit of about 500-700 calories per day, and rarely eat back exercise calories... Yes I know a bad habit... But I love to train, and I love to run...
Thing is I normally feel ok, but Im starting to think (i know the answer) I would do better to reduce training volume and seeing what happens, but it is so hard to break the habit.... I feel guilty not doing something... Damn i give the advice, but I cant take it... LOL
Anyone else share my syndrome, and how have you broken it, and what would ya'll suggest, to put my mind at ease (although the answer is in my face...)
Thanks all
I should mention, I still have BF to lose, currently, 188, BF 23%, 5'11". Goal is 15-18% BF to start, then go from there...
