so quick question about logging work outs. I started a new job about a month ago and have a pedometer app on my phone, according to the app I usually walk 9-10 miles on the days I work(3-4 a week). would that count as exercise or just daily activity? not sure if I should log it as exercise not

recently my Dr. prescribed me phentermine to help aid weightloss and improve my pcos symptoms. I have been put on metformin in the past and had no results( actually gained 10 lbs.). my gym offered a free session with a personal trainer which turned into basically a sales pitch to get me to spend 35$ a session and during this sales pitch he told me that circuit training was ineffective ( that is what I usually do + a hour of cardio) just curious if that is true or was he just trying to make a sale?
