I started mfp at 1200 calories but felt that was a bit low so I recently upped it to 1350...just curious what other women have their goal at and what is a healthy intake for weight loss...tia

    Weight - 215 lbs
    Height - 62in
    Age - 30
    BF% - 51% (I know, I know I'm working on it)
    Activity Level - Lightly Active

    BMR = 1404
    TDEE = 1930

    Goal (-20% TDEE) = 1544

    MFP started me out at 1200 as well. There was no way I could stick to that for more than a day and not feel like I was starving every second of my life. I raised my goal based on Scooby's recommendations and have lost 40 lbs initially, I gained some back when I stopped tracking on MFP.
