One of the things I love about running.....
I don't normally carry my phone when I run but decided to this morning........ If I hadn't seen her cross the path in front of me I probably wouldn't have noticed her as it was cloudy and overcast and all the colours were pretty muted.

Kayak Triathlon?
In the past couple of years I've signed up for a sprint tri and changed to a duathlon for the simple reason that my swimming sucks, running and biking are easy but I just seem to have a mental block about swimming (even though I love the water - especially scuba diving but that doesn't seem to be an option) so it has…

Reverse (Backwards) Running
Saw this in my newsfeed today........while it is a serious article (and probably does merit consideration) the mental image it created was pretty funny. This Article may have appeared a couple of years ago but it is still very much worth reading (especially by newer runners who tend to be a little over enthusiastic at times) Here's the executive summary: 1) Know your limits "It's easy to get injured; anyone can do it. Just run too much." 2) Listen to your body 3) Consider…

Swimmers, I need ideas.....
I am not a strong swimmer but one of my goals for 2013 is to complete an Olympic distance tri which means being able to swim (not necessarily fast - I can make up time on the bike and/or run) 1500m.
