Here's a link to an article from Competitor Running that appeared in my news feed that offers suggestions for strengthening hips, glutes, hamstrings and ankles and, accordingly, reducing the likelihood of running injuries.....

That's a great article. I've been doing most of those exercises for two months now - ever since my physical therapy revealed an imbalance and lot of weaknesses around my hips. Now I have a couple more to add to my routine. Ever since I started running I've had problems all up and down my right side. It turns out my left side is weak and the right side has to do too much work. Also have weak glutes & hips. After two months my right side is totally pain-free but several aches & pains have appeared on the left side as it is finally doing its fair share of the work (and I ramped up my mileage significantly after a long break).

If it weren't from Competitor Group, I would give it a read, but as they represent everything that is wrong with competitive running today, I'll have to pass.
