What age would you start kids on geared MTBs?
Is 6 to young? I've taken my kids out to the kids races at a couple of MTB races already this year. I was surprised to see kids as young as 7 on geared MTBs. My 7 year old daughter (8 in Sept) is on a "normal" 20" kids bike. I was thinking she's ready for a geared one maybe for her birthday. Maybe she'll be big enough for…

Garmin Connect question
Anyone know how to import a gpx file of our route (that doesn't have time stamps) into a Garmin Edge 500? I've been trying to "upload" it into Garmin Connect but it doesn't seem to like it because it doesn't have time stamps like an activity your rode would.

Lets discuss pink and blue...
So I want to buy my daughter a bike. She's going to out grow it in 2 years. She has a little brother. Do I make my daughter, who's favorite color is purple, ride a blue bike? Or do I make my son, who's favorite color is green, ride a bike pink? The bike in question only comes in pink or blue. No black, yellow, orange, or…

Lets talking getting "fit" on a MTB..
Have you done it? How much did you pay (if this is rude, sorry)? Should I do it? My knees kind of hurt on some uphills but I think that's just "Spring Knees".

Mountain bike shoes for fat feet
I almost always wear wide-width shoes (C width). I don't know why I thought regular mountain bike shoes would work. Any brands that make wide women's shoes? Or wide-ish mens?

Training Peaks
I'm looking at a training plan that only comes in Training Peaks format and I've never heard of it before, then just saw it mentioned here so I thought I'd ask. What is Training Peaks? Is it like Strava? Better? Will I have to get the paid version to use the training plan (which of course adds to the price of the plan)?

Should I have some sort of strategy for getting into
better cardio shape? Some special way to combine HIIT, steady state, rest days, recovery weeks, etc? Basically I need to get into better cardio shape to improve my mountain biking but due to this whole being a grown up thing and winter, I don't have much time to be on my actual bike. Somehow I need to combine the…

Ladies MTB shorts rave
These are awesome for women with big butts and small waists! I've never found nice baggies that didn't gap hugely at the waist. http://jettmtb.com/shorts/women-s-shorts/women-s-raven-short.html Although mine are last years and don't have a pretty design.
