Mainly for curiosity, do you add your active calories on the iWatch to your total calories to get your actual end total of calories burned throughout the day?

Golfer's elbow from incorrect form?
Twice now the day after I went to the gym and focused on lifting weights I have a pain on the inside of my right elbow. It only hurts if I extend my arm. Searching doctor Google says that it is likely medial epicondylitis (golfers elbow) Has anyone dealt with this and was there something you did the help get your elbow…

I am beautiful
Maybe today I am feeling a little extra warm and fuzzy but I wanted to reach out to everyone here to say you are beautiful, you are worth it, and the scale does not define that, your clothing size does not define that, you as a person defines that. I fully support and believe in getting to a healthy weight and focusing on…

Keto diet: is this true?
I am in a FB group and someone was asking about starting keto and wanting more information. Someone posted the below and I am curious if they are right? Fructose, the sugar found in fruit, even though it is healthier can still be damaging to some people. Am I saying lose the fruit all together? No, BUT you want to watch…

NSV Share
Pretty excited that I am actually starting to see and feel some real changes in my body. Most noticeable is my tush. I used to describe it as a lumpy pancake butt and it is becoming much less pancakeish! It is hard to describe but when I lay down on my back I can feel that I am lifted by my bum now when before it was just…

Do I need to take a supplement?
I have recently started adding a lot more workouts and doing weight lifting, I feel great but am being hit from every which direction that I need to take something to make sure I am fueling my body correctly and/or allowing my body to recovery correctly. At first I brushed it off, all are MLM type deals, but after being…

Active calories
Do you know if your active calories are automatically totaled into your total calories?

Correcting form during core workouts
I am 99% sure I am allowing other muscle groups to make up for my weak abs while trying to work my core. Very rarely will I feel the workout in my abs and never wake up sore the next day. I am aware sore doesn't equal progress but I would think since I am just starting and pretty out of shape I would feel something. I am…

Felt like a bada** -- strength training
After reading many posts here I went to bodybuilder.com and started doing a lot of reading. I found a great beginner strength workout and today at the gym did my first workout using weights over 10lbs ever! Normally I use 5lbs, 8lbs and 10lbs when using dumbbells. Today I did 70lbs deadlifts, 4 sets/6reps 20lbs dumbbells…

2017 Resolutions
I make resolutions, some I achieve and some I don't so this year I really have put a lot of thought and consideration into them. 1. Hike a 14er -- a mountain over 14,000 feet elevation. I have done one a couple years ago and it kicked my butt. 2. Take a ski lesson. My family all skis/snowboards and I would like to join…

What do you do?
Is your job with horses or something else? I manage content for three of Western Unions FB channels. I have been there about 5 months now and really enjoy it. The company is amazing and so is my team.

Favorite non-horse exercises
Hi all! What are your favorite workouts outside of the barn? My hands down favorite is hiking and I'd like to try skiing and snowshoeing this winter. I also enjoy yoga, pure bare, weights and Pilates.

Recipes
I am always on the hunt on for new healthy recipes, especially ones that I can pack for lunch. I work in an office and have access to a lot of food but prefer to pack -- to help my waistline and my wallet! I find myself often packing too little trying to be lower calories and then seeking out snacks OR I will find myself…

MFP calorie burn
Today I did a hike and my Apple Watch calculated about 1,000 calories burned, to test it I put in an hour less of hiking into MFP and it spit out 2200 calories burned- just an FYI for anyone who is struggling losing but relying on MFP to give you calories burned

Skyfit app

Total vs active calories on Apple watch
I know what the difference is between total and active calories on the Apple Watch but does anyone know if the idea is that those 2 numbers combined are what you've burned in a day or is only total calories your daily burn? I've added an image of what I'm looking at

Tracking on days you know you will go over
Out of curiosity -- do you track on days you know you will go over? Today we are going out to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we have an awesome mud run, but know I will end up over today. Do you track that and try to balance out the rest of the week?

Awesome snacks
These are amazing so wanted to share! I did apple slices topped with peanut butter (could be any nut butter), added some walnuts, shaved coconut and mini chocolate chips....yummy! Any snacks to share?

Understanding iOS adjustment
I am trying to figure out the "credit" MFP gives me for working out with the sync to my watch. I found the adjustments for calories on here is against my total calories MFP thinks I burn in a day, not my adjusted weight loss calories....so, I am not getting much credit for workouts I do. At least I think that is how it is…

Double my steps. Double my water.
I am challenging myself to double my average daily steps and also double the amount of water I am drinking, which is too low. I really believe small changes can lead to bigger changes in my life and help me get to where I need to be. Plus, I think I will feel so much better overall when I am drinking more and moving more.…

MFP iOS adjustments not matching
Does anyone else have issues with that? I have an apple watch that shows my total calories as 2074 with 407 active calories yesterday but MFP is saying they got 1871 as calories from my watch yesterday so only gave me 38 calories for exercise yesterday. I am really confused. My steps never match either in my phone vs in…

Struggle with sweets/treats
It really does seem so easy, I start each day saying I will not eat sweets today and by mid-afternoon I am telling myself I can have just a little bit and that little bit seriously turns into a good 500-1000+ calories a day in sweets. Tonight I went ahead and cleared my house of the sweets and candy, which was a lot more…

Hiking goal -14er
Two years ago I hiked my first 14er, a mountain in Colorado over 14,000 feet. I was not fully prepared physically but I made it! My goal is to do another this year but prepare for it and be in great shape to complete it. So that means I'll be doing a ton of hiking. We tend to hike a lot as a family anyways and I prefer my…

iWatch calorie adjustment

Home weights
I'm going to buy some weights to keep at home and wondered if anyone has suggestions on which ones or what weight to get. I'm 156, 5'8, in good health. I'd like to start using weights in my workouts more but am unsure where to start. I have 5 pound hand weights but those are not what I'm looking for. I was thinking of…
