Half way there!
I am officially half way to my goal! I have lost 28 pounds since end of April/beginning of May. I'm ok with the slow loss but I'm sure if I kicked my *kitten* into doing more exercise, I'd probably loose and tone faster but I'm staying on track with my calories. I've been slacking quite a bit the last couple of months but…

I've entered the 160's
After being in the high 180-peaking low 190's...after a lot of dedication, I have now entered the 160's. I weighed in at 169.2 this morning! I haven't been in the 160's for probably 6 years or more! I have 34 more pound to go until I reach my goal weight. When I first started this, I thought it was going to be brutally…

17lbs down, about 10" lost and seeing results!
I took some pictures today because I have gone down a size or 2 in pants so thought I'd see what the photo difference was from when I first started this life change. I'm happy to say that when I look in the mirror now, I see some nice changes starting to happen. I'm getting some nice curves going on and I'm loving it. I've…

nordicflex isolift...anyone have 1?
So, I'm considering buying one of these (there's one for sale at a good price) to get me started with more strength training. I'm looking for reviews from people who have used these types of machines. I'm suppose to go look at it/buy it later today so would like some reviews fairly quickly if possible. Hopefully I can get…

Multi-gym resistance machines
Are they worth it? I've done a search trying to find some topics in regards to these machines but haven't been able to find much unfortunately. I'm interested in starting to do some weight training and have found a really good deal on a NordicTrack multi-gym machine. I was interested in another machine a month or so ago…

Does anyone have a Total Gym?
Does anyone have 1 of these? There's 1 that someone is selling on my local buy and sell and I was just looking for some reviews from those that have one. Are they a waste of money, good investment if you can't get to a gym, a good work out, etc.? Any reviews/opinions would be great, thanks!

Will this help tone me while I loose weight?
I've made up a little strength training circuit for myself and just want to make sure it will actually help me tone up while I loose this weight (or even help me loose it) or if I'm just waisting my time. I don't have equipment to work with other than my treadmill (I do interval training on it) that I use for cardio 3…

I think the 30 DS is shredding my knee
...cause man is it sore and it's only been sore since I've started doing the video :frown: It sucks because I really like the video but I don't want to kill my knee in the process. I stopped doing the jumping jacks and replaced them with jogging in place. What else could be hurting it? Would a knee brace help do you think?…

30 day shredders...when did the pain stop...
I'm on day 2 and my thighs and butt are killing me! Stairs are NOT my friend at the moment  They were sore this morning after doing day 1 yesterday but I sucked it up and did the video again today. For the most part i can make it through the video with only a few pauses of 5 seconds so (the jump rope bothers my knees…

Is this considered calisthenics or just strength training?
So for the past couple of weeks I've been doing a strength training routine Circuit style) but it has very little cardio in it. I do my cardio later in the day and do the strength training (calisthenics) in the morning. The routine takes me about 15 minutes to do and I'm usually sweating when i'm done but don't know what…

question about the 30 day shred/strength training
So, here's my dilemma...I don't have a lot of time for all the exercises I want to do and I love the circuit training (strength training) in the 30 day shred video but I also love working on my treadmill. I really only have time for 1 cardio (and right now my body can only handle 1 main cardio workout at the moment) right…

Hello from Alberta Canada
Ugh, I had a nice big post typed up and when I hit send it went away into internet land, never to be seen again :o ( So, I'll try to retype it and hopefully I don't miss anything...hate it when that happens. I kind of did this backwards, posted in fitness and exercise first but then i read an awesome success story that has…

Time frame
I'm just starting out, on day 6 to be exact, and I'm just wondering what every one's time frame has been for loosing their weight and what you've done do do it. I'm hoping to be able to get both some positive vibes from this thread that i can do this too and realistic goals as well. I don't know if my goals are realistic…

Unsure how many calories I'm burning...and a hello :o)
Hello all! I'm new to this site and just starting my journey to loose about 50 pounds or so. I would like to loose this by the end of Sept. and I believe I can make this happen or at least get pretty darn close...I hope :o / . Right now I'm at 191lbs (I'm 5'3" tall) and would like to get down to 135...my weight before…

Question about HRM
So I'm buying a HRM (the Polar FT4F to be exact...hope this is a good 1 :o / ) so I can properly measure my heart rate while I work on my treadmill. Is this going to accurately measure my calories burned when I'm working on an incline? I do my speed walks on an incline at about 3.3mph and I would like to be able to enter…

new to all this and have some questions
In a previous post of mine, some people suggesting getting a HRM to help with knowing when I'm in the proper zone for max calories burnt and to maximize my workout. How will the HRM measure my calories when working on an incline? Will it still read accurately for calorie count? I've heard/read that you burn more when on an…
