Question about HRM

So I'm buying a HRM (the Polar FT4F to be exact...hope this is a good 1
/ ) so I can properly measure my heart rate while I work on my treadmill. Is this going to accurately measure my calories burned when I'm working on an incline? I do my speed walks on an incline at about 3.3mph and I would like to be able to enter an accurate calorie burn on here to keep track of things. I'm going to sneak in another question too...how many cardio work out should you do in a week for weight loss? I was going to do m-f cardio for 30 - 40 minutes and take sat. & sun. off but I went to do my work out today and got about 5 - 10 minutes into it and my body was saying nope, not gonna happen right now. So, I stopped. I might try again tonight after supper but I was wondering if I'm working my body to hard. I'm just starting out with this and so far Sunday I did 30 minutes, Monday 2 sessions of 30 minutes and then Tuesday did 40 minutes...and then today I just couldn't get past the first 10 minutes of it. Thanks...from a newbie who wants to loose 50 lbs by about October-ish
