Strength for Runners and Deby Girls
Hey all! I am training for the Chicago Marathon and run trails, but I need to add some strength training back in due to fitness requirements for work. I need to be able to do your basics: push-ups, bench press, and sit-ups. Plus I like to be strong. :) Due to the running schedule, I can only set aside two days a week for…

Guidance Needed
I'm trying to put together a training schedule, and I am having a hard time figuring out the best way to go about things. I would appreciate any help or advice. My short term goals are related to doing my best on a PT test that will likely occur in 6 to 8 weeks - a minimum of 30 push-ups, 40 sit-ups, and a 14 minute 1.5…

500 Days!
Today is my 500th day straight of logging on MFP. 500 days ago, I thought I'd maybe get down to a size 14 and gain some strength. However, I am considering the exact opposite based on really wanting this to be a lasting lifestyle change. I really appreciate the information gathered here, on the…

Had my BMR/RMR tested.. now what?
Since January, I have lost just over 50 pounds. I used the MFP recommended calories of 1200, but then ate back most exercise calories and logged anything that even approached exercise (ie vigourous cleaning, walks). I did adjust most MFP exericise calories down though per my heart rate monitor and some common sense. For…

Yay, I'm finally overweight!
Today I finally edged my BMI from the Obese category to the Overweight category. I don't think BMI calculations have a lot of value, but I admit it was still nice to see.

Introduction and Some Success!
Hi everyone! I have been using MFP since April or so, and I love it. I lost some weight before April using a similar website, but it got to be hard to use and it set my calorie goal to 800. I wasn't able to fix it, so I came here. I love how easy MFP is to use, and I really like the community support and seeing everyone's…
