tired (and therefore, frustrated)
i feel exhausted. have for the past week. my fatigue has always been my biggest complaint. it's the only way i can sense that i might be having a flare. bowels are fine. usually are. it's frustrating to me that two months into scd i am having symptoms. i know that's probably completely unrealistic, but i just think all…

Results
Just so you are all aware, when you look at my diary, I am no longer following SCD. Not strictly, anyway. My colonoscopy result did show improvement in the diseased area, after 5 months of following the diet strictly. I am not giving up, but I am making some adjustments. The good news is, I am not being put on the "evil…

food depressed
I just want to cry about all the food I can't eat today. And the only thing that would fix it is a carton of pork fried rice. :(

SCD Yogurt
What milk do you use? I've been using full fast while milk, but I'm wondering if I'd lose any nutrition benefits by switching to something with less fat?

Chipotle Problems
I am so bummed. I just scarfed down a chicken bowl from Chipotle. I had searched for it and read that it's legal. No corn salsa. No beans. Just the chicken, three salsas, guac, and cheese. Turns out the only legal meat there is actually the carnitas. The chicken and steak are cooked in rice bran oil, and that's illegal.…

frozen homemade yogurt?
Please tell me there is a way to take this yogurt and make myself something that resembles ice cream. Without an ice cream maker. Please?

Recruit Members!
Until people feel like they'd be more comfortable with the group being closed, I decided to leave it open for the time being. I just left the Facebook SCD group for personal reasons, and so my recruitment days on Facebook are done. But please feel free to give out my username for people to message me here I'd they can't…

Map My Run - Is it synced yet?
I don't understand why I have mfp connected to Map My Run. They don't seem to be doing anything with each other yet. Is this still true, or am I doing something wrong? The most recent thing I can find on this topic is from 3 months ago.

Goals Goals Everywhere, and Not a 1 to Keep!
Help me set a goal and keep it. Does anyone have advice for this? I am terrible at this. It's like setting a goal is an automatic sabotage for me. Has anyone been able to change this about themselves? If so, how?

Inconsistency is the devil. The scale is its minion.
Summer sucks for me this year. I'm way too disorganized. When I started MFP it had me at that classic 1200 cal/day calculation. I only did that for a few weeks. I was losing weight, but working out was difficult. And I was hungry. Until I wasn't hungry anymore. Then just when I thought I could maintain that VLC level, I…

NRoL4W + EM2WL = ? Cals
In following my calculations from the book, my caloric intake on workout days comes out to 1938 - pretty close to the TDEE I had calculated previously. On non-workout days, which is most days, my caloric intake (according to the book) is 1661. So... Those of you who are doing the program AND doing EM2WL, what have you…

Finally found NROLFW! Any advice before I dive in?
I have been looking for the book for days. Every place I went had the most recent book, but not the one for women. So now I have it in my hands, and I'm going to start reading. I've upped my cals from a 15% cut to TDEE this week, and I feel fat and miserable. Well, just fat. Not miserable. I did just get back from the…

What speed of BF% change are you experiencing?
I know we're all different. I know we're supposed to expect a weight gain before sustained loss. I know fat weighs a lot less than muscle. I'm curious as to how quickly/slowly BF% is changing. **QUESTION** - If I am doing this correctly, what kind of rate of change should I expect to see with BF%? When I first calculated…

How do you get the 40-30-30 balance?
I'm hoping people can offer some good (tasty) suggestions regarding how to get more protein and less fat. I am trying to add protein to my diet (nuts, seeds, soy, beans), but I seem to always end up with an incorrect percentage of calories. Week of May 21 - Carb 44%, Fat 37%, Protein 19% Week of May 14 - Carb 49%, Fat 35%,…
