Withings Scale Sync
I am trying to sync my Withings Scale to MFP. It doesn't seem to work. My scale is connected to Bluetooth and WiFi, and it's connected on MFP as an active app, but I get nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's finally working. Not following WW, only MFP
I have been struggling with losing weight over the past few years, but it's working now. I have stopped following WW, and Keto, but I am following MFP, calories in vs calories out. I have been logging my food everyday and I am finally down around 14 pounds. I will reach my lowest weight in years in just 2 lbs, but that's…

Best Bathroom Scale with Bluetooth or WiFi
I am currently using a Withings HealthMate scale, and due to inaccuracies, I am in search of another accurate scale that syncs with my Fitbit and MyFitnessPal. Can anyone suggest a great scale?

Has anyone tried Mushroom Coffee?
It is supposed to be good for cognitive function, and keeping you focused. I'm now focused on how expensive it is, but does it work?

Does Collagen in your coffee really make a difference?
I have been using Collagen in my coffee for almost a year, and don't really notice any differences. Not sure if it is helping my bones. My skin and nails seem the same. Seems like Collagen got popular with Keto and Paleo. Just don't know if my money is going down the drain.

2019 Best Overall Diet - Mediterranean Diet
Does anyone here follow the Mediterranean Diet? Has it worked in losing weight?

What type of diet are most people doing? Keto? WW? Which is the healthiest?
I always seem to get confused on which diet I should follow. Low carb-high fat, Keto, WW. I seem to start on one, and when I find it difficult I look to another. What diet are most people following today? I don't want a fad or a quick fix, I want something that I can maintain and is healthy. Low carb/Keto makes sense to…

Here I am again!
Story of my life, yoyo dieter. I feel best when I am low carb, but can't seem to stay high fat. Maybe it's a psychological thing. Now during the holidays, I am feeling plump as ever. Any suggestions?

Up, Down, Up Down I'm just a Yo-Yo
No matter what I try, WW, Keto, Low carb, Hig Fat, Low fat, High Protein, it doesn't seem to work. The older I get the more difficult I find it to lose weight. I was watching what I was eating this week, and seemed to be losing some weight very slowly. Then today, up .8 again. It gets so frustrating. Does anyone have any…

Will drinking a protein shake instead of eating dinner aid in weight loss?
I recently got a job where I sit all day. I don't get home until 8PM. I eat dinner when I get home and am not done until after 9PM...I go to sleep shortly thereafter. Will drinking a protein shake instead of eating dinner aid in weight loss? I understand that I need to choose a shake that has the proper amount of calories…

Obsession With The Scale Sets me up for Failure
I have a Withings Bluetooth scale that automatically syncs with MFP. I think I am obsessed with getting on the scale everyday instead of weighing weekly. While I'm within my caloric range, there are days where my weight fluctuates from day to day. One day I can be down a pound the next day I'm up 1.5. This gets me…

Weight Fluctuation
Yesterday I was down 5 lbs. Today I am up 2.7 lbs. Yesterday I was happy, today I am sad. This happens quite often. On my up days I get discouraged, and all fed up because I ate good, and I exercised the day before. I know I should only weigh once a week, but I have a Bluetooth scale that syncs with MFP, and it becomes a…

What's your view on calories in vs calories out theory?
I've always believed that weight loss or weight gain is based upon the simple fact of calories in vs. calories out. Someone told me that's nonsense and I should listen to this podcast on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/smarter-science-slim-vs.-calorie/id541602331 The Podcast with Sam Feltham: Eating 5000…

Food challenges at Work
Yesterday I knew that I was having lunch at work at a training session so I didn't brown bag it. Typical half sandwiches, salad, wraps, potato chips, soft drinks. I decided on a half of turkey and brie on a ciabatta roll. I dissected it and wound up only eating the turkey which was only 2 ounces the most. No roll, no brie.…

Can you put on 1.7 lbs from alcohol?
Last night I was at a neighbors party and I refrained from alcohol until a few hours into the party. I had 2 vodka drinks mixed with grapefruit juice. I didn't eat anything at the party. I got on the scale this morning and I was up 1.7 lbs. Could this be just water retention? I was amazed that I can be up so much just by…

Does Nasonex or Corticosteroids cause Weight Gain?
I take Nasonex for allergies on a daily basis. Can Nasonex or Corticosteroids cause weight gain or inhibit weight loss? Has anyone experienced this? I know steroids can cause weight gain, and if this a type of steroid, it got me wondering.

Does your weight fluctuate like mine?
I'm starting to wonder if it's me. I went out to dinner last night, logged my meal including 2 glasses of wine. I get on the scale this morning, and I'm 1 pound heavier. It's discouraging because I want to lose 1 pound a week, but from day to day my weight fluctuates anywhere from a 1/2 pound to a pound. I've been weighing…

Why does it seem that it takes forever to lose a pound?
I know it's probably my impatience, and I realize I didn't gain the weight overnight and know I can't lose it with a blink of an eye. It seems that it takes forever to lose a pound. I have my weight loss set to lose 1 pound a week. Do you think that's too slow, or should I ramp it up to lose 1.5 pounds a week? I thought by…

Food Triggers
Some foods are "red light" foods for me. For example, Peanut butter. I can't just have 1 tablespoon, I always want more. The same with assorted nuts. Although highly nutritious, it's difficult for me to stop putting my hand in the container and taking more. Carbs are that way too. If I eat bread, or rice cakes or crackers…

Lunch Suggestions for real food, not processed crap.
I usually eat at my desk because of the lack of time that I have. I need some healthy, quick preparing lunch suggestions. I would like to start eating as much non processed foods as I can. Currently I bring in a deli turkey and ham sandwich on whole wheat and some carrots. The turkey and ham are loaded with sodium and…

Why can't I lose weight?
I'm baffled. I walked approximately 5 miles on my treadmill every day this week, ate within my calorie allotment plus I ate some of my exercise calories. The scale didn't budge. It's not like I'm eating crap either, pretty much all healthy foods. I'm not on medication, I drink lots of water. This just kills my motivation…

Hello from Stamford, CT
Hi Everyone - I'm Mark, and I started the low card diet thing. Doing the low fat lifestyle just wasn't working for me anymore. So to try something different, I'm doing the South Beach diet. I'm in my 1st week, and that is the most difficult, but I'm hanging in there. Tonight will be a challenge. Going out to eat, everyone…
