My 1st 1 mile race
I decided to participate in a 1 mile race to test the waters of my ability. I did ok. I finished 1 mile in 13:32. I was really pleased with myself, considering back in January it took me 20 minutes to do a mile. My first 5k will be on 3/30 if the snow dissipates. pedometer vs distance on the treadmill
Because the weather pretty bad here, I used my treadmill and I wore my pedometer (attached to my shoe). According to my pedometer, I ran 3.09 miles in 30 minutes. I think that that is rather fast for myself. So I was wondering how accurate are pedometer for converting steps to miles. Should I be pleased with myself or be…

treadmill to road
I moving on to Week 4 and decided to make the transition from treadmill to road. I found it more difficult to run on the road than on the treadmill. Does anyone feel that way? So I think I'm going to make sure to rotate treadmill and road.

skipping ahead on C25K
I decided to give my self a fitness test and see how long I could run. Surprisingly I was able to run for 25 minutes (going between 3.3 and 3.5 mph) without stopping. Right now Im on week 4, so now that I know that I can run 25 minutes without stopping, I'm thinking about jump ahead to Week 7. What do you think?

Should I be covering more distance
I'm at day 3 week 3... I am consistently at 1.5 miles at the end of my 30 minute work out. Should I be closer to 3 miles am I moving way to slow? What should I do? Any suggestions?

Finished week 2 today.
I'm running again after 25 years!! I really had to get the idea of speed out of my head for now..I was trying to run 5.0mph on the running intervals and I felt like my lungs were going to burst. So I had to slow way down. So now I am running only at at 3.5mph sometimes 4.0mph....I'm running...and enjoying it. On to week 3.…
