I got in 3 miles today bringing my total to 8/60

Jan 8 was rest. Today I got in 2 miles run/walk intervals. Not looking like I'm going to meet my goal be I'm going to try to get as close as possible.

Yay Everyone!! You all are doing awesome. So far I have only 1.27 miles on January 1 and became ill with a stomach bug on Jan 2nd and 3rd so I will try to get some walking in today. Wish me luck. Keep up the good work everyone!!

Welcome All. I so happy to see so many of your taking this challenge with me...you guys are motivation me to get moving. My goals are to run/walk a couple of 5ks and at least 1 10k this summer. I want running to be enjoyable and not to feel like a chore. Lets keep motivating each other and have some fun.

I checked my pedometer and it is set for kilometers which is 1.94 miles....this sounds a little more accurate for my performance.

That's awesome. I have signed up for a 1 mile on 3/23 and a 5k on March 30th. You are so right it does serve as a great inspiration to not give up.

I at week 6 Day 1 at 5'5". I am slower than most: I walk at 2.7 - 3.0 and run at 3.3 - 3.7 with at 1.0 incline. Starting out I was walking 2.5 and running 3.0 - no incline. I definitely feel myself getting stronger and really happy that I am able to increase my speed a little more - not as much as others but one day I will…

Thanks, I going to try an incline on my next treadmill run. I hope it does impact my speed because I run really slow right now also. We can do this!

Done! Sets of 10, had to stand against the wall to make sure that I kept my back straight and took breaks in between each set but ...I did it. :smile:
