Changing daily calories
1200 calories is a stupidly low number of calories for the day. Is there a way I can change the number of calories I am supposed to be allotted for the day? I know I can earn more through exercise, but a base of 1200 is not realistic.

Failing hard since isolation started
Oh boy. I've been doing poorly at recording, and as a result losing, since isolation started. My exercise is down because I have somehow hurt my shin/knee/hip in my right leg, and even walking causes pain. So, to add to the isolation which causes mental issues of its own, my weight is nowhere near where I want it/need it…

Gained??
I feel like ......if I stay within my calories and get exercise, I should lose weight. This morning - up a pound. What the heck. Granted I’ve only been back at this for a few days, but still. Just needed to rant.

Can I record steps as exercise?
Just wondering - can I record steps from my Fitbit in the exercise section and have it translate into calories earned?

I'm Back....
Well, I left for a while and tried Weight Watchers. I did not like the group meetings (usually one person became the centre of attention each week - the same person), and the recipes and tips were always for people with no dietary exclusions....and I can't have dairy, gluten, soy or grains. So it seemed like a big waste of…

Metabolic Syndrome and Fatty Liver diagnosis
I posted this on the general message board and was bombarded with lovely advice like "try losing weight"..... I was directed here by a caring person. Here is my original post: "So, recently I was diagnosed with metabolic syndrome and fatty liver (??? - never having had a drink in my life....). Since weight loss is very…

Weight Watchers
Since nothing I try on my own seems to work, I'm wondering - has anyone tried Weight Watchers, and did you have success?

Which activity tracker to buy?
Hi - I'm researching activity trackers, and I want to get one. I want one that I can wear swimming, that will sync with MFP, and that will tell me when I need to get up and move. Your suggestions with the best model would be greatly appreciated!

Metabolic Syndrome and Fatty Liver
So, recently I was diagnosed with metabolic syndrome and fatty liver (??? - never having had a drink in my life....). Since weight loss is very difficult for me, I'm going to assume these two things may have something to do with it. If anyone has any experience in dealing with weight loss and these two issues, chime in!

Sugar counts
What do you use as your total sugar grams each day? My naturopath wants me under 26 g, but I'm finding that hard.
-
Sugar grams in fruits and vegetables
I'm looking for a book or a printable resource containing the sugar grams in fruits and vegetables. I don't want to have to go to my computer and look something up every time I want to eat - I prefer a book in my hand. Does anyone know of such a thing?

Back Again
I've been absent for a while - I found that it didn't matter what I did, I wasn't losing weight. I've decided to try and be accountable anyway. It can't hurt to record my foods and exercise. If I don't lose, at least I know I'm trying to be healthy.

Unmet goals
It's so discouraging when you log in and My Fitness Pal says "if every day was like today, in 5 weeks you would be "x" pounds, and yet you never lose. Very frustrating, and hard to keep going when that happens.

Goodlife - Fit Fix Circuit
I do the Fit Fix Circuit of weight machines at Goodlife 3 times a week. I'm not sure how to enter this into my Exercise section. Under strength, I know, but is there some way of entering everything at once, instead of each individual exercise?

Do you use the recommended macronutrients?
For optimal weight loss, do you use the macronutrients provided by this web site, or do you adjust them in some way? I'm always within my calories, but not necessarily within the recommended macronutrients.

High Protein Breakfast ideas
I need some new breakfast ideas. Due to food sensitivities, I cannot have eggs, nuts, or oatmeal, or dairy products. Any ideas on what I could eat for breakfast that would have a decent amount of protein to fuel my morning?

1200 calories a day and GAINING weight
So I have tried many different weight loss plans - all devised by my naturopath. All things that have worked well for other people, including my husband, who lost 70 pounds. Now, I'm not in his boat - I probably should lose 20. But seriously, everything I try - at first I lose a little bit - like under five pounds - and…

Just turned 50, and want to lose!
I just turned 50, and want to lose 20 pounds. I've been trying to lose these same 20 pounds for a few years now. I've tried many different thoughts and plan from my naturopath, only to have nothing work. It's like my body is stuck at this weight and doesn't want to leave it! Anyway, if I toss all "plans" to the wind, and…

What Can I Do?
I currently am struggling with some back issues, and really want to try running, but have been advised against it. What is a good exercise to burn some calories, other than walking, that I could try?

Nothing I do works
I have tried a lot of different things, but can't lose weight. I have been on the dysglycemic diet (supervised by naturopath), I have, for the past six weeks, had no sugar, and very limited carbs, and currently am having no grains, legumes, or starchy veggies (naturopath supervised again). Nothing. I am within my calorie…

Why the heck am I not losing weight???
Hi all - I am under a naturopath's care, and have been trying to lose weight since January. I'd like to lose anywhere from 20-30 pounds. Currently I am doing food combining, which is difficult, but at first was quite effective. I am having acupuncture. I am sticking to my calories for the day. I have been using this site…
