Caloric intake vs exercise.
I am so lost when it comes to caloric intake. I go back and forth with what I should be doing and maybe someone on here can help me. I am 34 years old, 5'3 and weigh 146. I workout 4-5 times a week, usually doing lifting with an occasional hiit workout or run mixed in on off days. I don't know if I consider it heavy…

At home heavy lifting.
Any suggestions on what the best at home heavy lifting program would be? I have adjustable Dumbbells, a pull up bar, resistance bands and a weight bench. I really enjoy heavy lifting but so many programs require racks and bars.

Two weeks in
So I'm about 2 weeks into SL and I love it. I'm having a hard time keeping consistent and getting modem 2 workouts a week so I have to make a better effort getting them in. Here are some observations: I feel a huge difference in ohp when I take 60 second rest vs a 3 minute rest. And o haven't made huge Progress yet and can…

Tracking/Calorie deficit
When you log your food onto MFP do you also log your workouts? I do an 1850 calorie day regardless of whether I work out or not so I don't eat back calories. (TDEE at 2175-15%) What do others do?

Ready to start...
Hey everyone! I love this group and I am ready to start Stronglifts but am a little confused, like most people. So hopefully before I start I can get some clarification. 1. How long does this program last? Is it just a continuous thing. I can't imagine just continuing to add weights on at the rate that you are supposed to.…

Just starting
So I am about to start this program and am super excited. What I am wondering is how do you track progress and refer to the program while at the gym? Do you just need to carry the book around and constantly refer to it? I will probably buy the kindle version and don't think it will be easy to do with it. There is no app is…

Heavy lifting?
Would you consider the beginning series of YAYOG to be heavy lifting?

Resistance bands
I don't have a gym membership and only have a few different size weights at home. I know you can do some decent strength training with resistance bands. Does anyone have a suggestion of a good workout plan or youtube video to do with resistance bands? Thanks!

Just started...a little skeptical...
So I just started the Body By You women's YAYOG program. I like it and will continue it but am skeptical as to how much of a workout it is. I did a 12 minute warm up (the warmup from insanity so I was definitely huffing) and then the first day. My HRM said I burned 180 in the 25 minutes it took to do both of those things.…

Body by you: you are your own gym
I just saw some posts about the body by you training program. It looked intriguing so I bought it today. (Specifically the one designed for women, but mostly because I didn't realize there was another one. I was wondering who else out there is doing it and what kinds of results you have been seeing. Please feel free to add…

Beachbody recommended calories vs MFP
Hey everyone, I have about 5 more pounds to lose before hitting my goal weight so I know I'm going to lose it slower than when I had more go lose. My mfp calories are at 1200 a day but I eat an additional 500 because I am exclusively breastfeeding and then I log and eat most of my calories back from working out. I was…

Insanity fast and furious
I no longer have time for full insanity. I got through 6.5 weeks when on maternity leave but now that I am back to work and taking care of two kids at night I can't do anything until after 8 and by then I am dead tired. I have been running 3 miles on a regular basis on my lunch breaks but want to add something else. Has…

Insanity. Crap!
I thought I was supposed to do max recovery today but just looked at the schedule and it is max interval circuit. Crap!!! Total difference in mental preparedness. This is going to be difficult.

Heart rate monitor
What kind of heart rate monitors does everyone use? I like the fitbit because I like that it tracks steps, calories and stairs climbed. Do others out there do that? And does anyone use the fitbit?
