Beachbody recommended calories vs MFP

Hey everyone, I have about 5 more pounds to lose before hitting my goal weight so I know I'm going to lose it slower than when I had more go lose. My mfp calories are at 1200 a day but I eat an additional 500 because I am exclusively breastfeeding and then I log and eat most of my calories back from working out. I was doing Insanity before I returned to work and now I am doing a combo of running 3 miles at a 7 mph speed 3-4 days a week and some circuit training. I just typed in my goal into the team beachbody website and it says I should be eating 1800 calories to reach my goal. That, on top of the extra 500 PLUS whatever I eat from working out would be kind of crazy right? Does that include the earned calories from working out? It's just a such a big difference. Thanks!

I don't think BB expects you to eat back your calories when they give you a number.. At least, I never read that anywhere on there..I could be wrong though.0

Yeah BB would have me eating 1800 to lose but in actual fact I eat 2100 to lose. If you're BFing, you should eat the 1800 plus 500 for BFing. You'll be fine.0

Somehow that doesn't seem like it would help me lose weight at all! So you are saying that eating close to 2300 calories a day will help me lose weight? But that means I don't eat back exercise calories right? So basically I am only eating a little more than I have been since I have been logging and eating all the extra calories after working out. Should I eat more on the days I run or train and less on the days I don't? I promise I am not new to working out but this is just very confusing to me!0

Yeah don't add exercise calories to that amount. Right... it should still be close to what you've been eating. It's just you eat the same every day - those exercise calories are spread out over 7 days of the week so that you can eat the same every day.
For example... when I say I eat 2100 calories to lose, that's 2100 daily (and I'm not nursing)... or net 1700 or so... which is 1700 on a rest day, but up to 2700 on a long run day. Since I hate rest days because I can barely survive eating 1700 calories in a day, I've switched to eating the same every day, which is just all those exercise calories averaged out over 7 days a week.
If your baby is only nursing and not taking any bottles or solids, you need those extra 500 calories.0 -
Thanks for the help! I will go with the 2200 then0

You burn a ton just breast feeding too.. I know I lost 40lbs in 3 month with 3 kids just doing that... I had huge gains with my pregnancies..0
