And I'm back
Hi There! I'm back after being non-existent for about 2 years... I was on a roll and lost up to 45 pounds after seeing my mom go through open heart surgery. Then I had back surgery of my own, and the recovery was 4 months with no exercise and pretty much lying on my stomach. Needless to say, my motivation went out the…

Goal Setting...
Hi All! So I've noticed that a lot of you set goals to lose "X" amount of pounds by a certain date. I'm wondering if I should do the same for myself, however I'm so nervous to see what will happen if that goal is not reached. I take it pretty hard when I don't loose weight as easy as i did when I started this lifestyle…

Homemade Recipe Calculator?
Hi All! Does anyone know the website where you can enter what you've made and it'll calculate the nutritional info? Does this make sense? I have a recipe for ground beef casserole (I'm making it with turkey) and I want to know what the nutritional info is so I can log it properly! Thanks so much!!! :) Janis

Need to find Motivation!
In December of 07 my mom had open heart surgery and it was a wake up call for me... between January and June I had lost 57 pounds... Then, in June, I had to have a surgery of my own, and could not work out until I was completely healed. (I got the "all's clear" from my doctor in November) and haven't been working out much…

I'm back!!
Hi All! I don't know if you remember me, but I used to be on this site daily. Then, in June, I was sidelined with a surgery that didn't allow me to work out until now. :noway: So, knowing me, I was cleared to work out on Friday of last week and started the next day. Though it hurts at the surgical site, I need to keep…

Hi All!
Okay, I'm using this as a platform for venting so please bear with me: 1. I have COMPLETELY fallen off the exercise horse. I'm having a very hard time finding the motivation to get up each morning and work out. Because of that I haven't really gained anything back, I've just maintained the same weight I stopped at. 2.…

I need help...
So, I'm going to be candid because I can - and I need the support... I've been working out since January and have lost a little over 40 pounds *happy dance* But the problem I'm facing now is that I can't seem to get below 300 pounds. :( I'm always 299 or 300, I can never get down enough to be out of the 300 range. Top that…

Well, it finally happened...
... I got sick. :grumble: Everywhere I look it says not to work out when you are feeling a bit under the weather but I just wanted to check in with all of you and get your opinion on this. I'm medicating like hell, and still working out in the mornings (I really don't want to see the numbers on the scale go up again!) but…

Random Question
Hi All! I notice on some of your wonderful profiles you seem to have an avatar picture of your body losing weight? Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can get one for myself? Thanks!!!

I'm embarassed to even ask....
However, I started out on the treadmil and lost a lot of weight fairly quickly. But, my shin splints and my knee (which was dislocated about two years ago) were not agreeing with this workout. As a result, my mom suggested a Richard Simmons DVD. *ducks behind anything out of shame* LOL But, I tried it, and there's no pain…

Frustrated and Discouraged
Hi All! Well, this is my fourth week of eating right and working out! In the first three weeks I lost 14 pounds... However, this week has been exceptionally hard. Let me set the scene: 1. I have major shin splints and while on the treadmill it sometimes can be so painful that I'm forced to stop. 2. Because I'm over the…
