I need help...

So, I'm going to be candid because I can - and I need the support...
I've been working out since January and have lost a little over 40 pounds *happy dance* But the problem I'm facing now is that I can't seem to get below 300 pounds.
I'm always 299 or 300, I can never get down enough to be out of the 300 range. Top that off with a lot of stressful things in my life, and I'm finding it harder and harder to watch what I eat. I used to be a stress eater and found sincere comfort in food. Bad food - and because I'm going through a lot in my personal and professional life, all I want to do is eat badly! I don't have a problem working out. I got a treadmil and am on it every day... but it's just tough when I can't seem to get below 300.
Thanks for listening and any suggestions/support would be greatly appreciated!
Janis

Could be just a bit of a plateau... how long have you been stuck at 300 for?0

can you give us a little bit of an idea of what you are doing (for exercise), your calories, your numbers (height, weight...etc), activity level. things like that, maybe someone will spot something that doesn't make sense.0

I've been stuck at 300 for about 2 - 3 weeks now... I'm hoping it's just a plateau and that I'm over it soon!0 -

Sure! Every morning I get up at and I walk 45 minutes at about 3.2 mph on my treadmil
For breakfast I'll have water, a granny smith apple, and a cup of grapes (though i usually mix it up with strawberries)
For lunch it's either a lean cuisine, or healthy choice forzen meal and more water or iced tea. Sometimes I'll make a turkey sandwich on wheat bread with some mustard and american cheese
Then for dinner it's usually mixed up. However, sometimes I'll have a small bowl of rice crispies and skim milk, or (like last night) I had a baked porkchop, one cup of broccoli, and a glass of skim milk.
I'm 5'5 and right now way between 302 and 297... I seem to jump between those numbers a lot.
Again, your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!0 -
have you logged your calories?? Do you know how many you are taking in?? Sounds like too little.
Change up your exercise. Maybe up your speed abit and if you can add a little incline.
he is a idea of what I have eatten and will be eating today. I haven't worked out, so I will be adding in a snack and a baked apple without the pie crust.

I agree with Icandoit, it doesn't sound like you're eating enough.... Also I'd avoid having those microwave meals EVERYDAY... They have a lot of sodium in them and that cause you to retain water, making it seem like you aren't losing weight...0

I agree, it doesn't sound like you're eating enough. I saw it on the biggest loser, someone wasn't eating all of her calories and she wasn't losing. When she started eating she started losing! Good Luck!0

I agree about those microwave meals. What I've been doing for the past couple of weeks is cooking a larger dinner and cutting it in half immediately and putting half in the fridge for lunch the next day! It has been working out real well, all I have to do in the morning is reach in and grab it and I'm ready to go!0

I think you all are right... by the end of the day I can sometimes have 8 or 9 hundred calories left. It's just so hard for me to think that eating more (even if it is healthier) is better... I guess people are right when they say that losing weight isn't just a physical thing, it's also emotional and mental. My problem mostly is the mental aspect of everything. I criticise myself for everything I put in my mouth. Even if it is good... I don't know what it is but it's just a thing. So I usually end up not eating everything that I'm supposed to in my portions because I'm afraid it's too much... Despite it all, I will try to eat more and see what happens. Thank you all so much for caring enough to read this and offer your opinions... I really appreciate it!0
