granola
I love Nature's Path peanut butter granola. Also Kashi Cocoa Beach is another fave of mine. Both are a little pricy and are difficult to find at times. I have to drive 45 min away to get them because nowhere by me has any. Sometimes when I go to get some, they're out, too. Does anyone have any good recipes for them? I've…

Scars-does anyone know?
So--I do workout DVDs a lot and I noticed something. Both Jillian Michaels and Jari Love have horizontal scars going across the width of their abdomen. Look closely and you will see them. Does anyone know what they're from? I'm just curious if it's c section (though they look a little high up for that), abdominal surgery,…

zig zag diet help
Hi I went to a zig zag calcualtor online and it said I should 1832/1466/2199/1832/1649/2016/1832 But I'm wondering if this should be my net or gross caloric intake for the day?? I do a lot of exercise each day and I don't want to mess up myself again like during the summer when I only netted around 300 calories. If I had…

yogurt question
Ok--ignorant question here: I'm sort of new to yogurt eating-I never cared much for it in the past so that's why I don't know the answer to this: When I open the containers of yogurt, there is often a bunch of liquid on the top. A couple of tablespoons maybe? I have been pouring it out figuring it's condensation or…

starvation mode
I was watching the show WIFE SWAP and there was one woman that was on there had her family eating raw meat, raw eggs and drinking raw milk and kefir from their farm. Anyhow-the woman made them eat every 4 hours saying the body goes into starvation mode if it goes without food for anything longer. The woman woke up her…

Some Clean Eating Questions
I read Master Your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels. Right now, I'm doing a trial of organic eating and chemical free living--but I would like to try clean eating. I read up about it on the threads here-but also online. I'm a little confused. Some places online say No Dairy products. Some say artificial sweetener is ok. Some…

heart rate question
To my previous post about cardio/aerobics, someone had replied: "Getting your heart rate to 70% max burns fat, anything low and more is not productive. " How do I know what my heart rate should be????????????????

cardio question
I know that I'm supposed to alternate strength training days with aerobics. Now this is my question: Does it HAVE to be AEROBICS? Can it count if it raises your heart rate but is not something like step aerobics or an aerobics class? The reason I ask is because I am so uncoordinated. I find it hard to keep up with aerobics…

terminology
When I input my exercise into this site, what do I call aerobic weight training--I don't see it listed. Also-I did a strength training dvd this morning-Power Strength Training with Rob Glick--and it's weights and different exercises to work muscles. It's a great 1 hour workout and I had swear rolling off of me--and I find…

Recommendations, please
What dvds can you recommend to me? I like strength training ones. I like calesthenic ones--but only low impact sorts of things due to knee problems. I'm not a big fan of overly complicated or dancy ones since I can't seem to keep up with them and I'm not super-coordinated. TIA! :flowerforyou:

New with questions
Hi  I'm new here. This is my situation. I had 14 pounds to lose. I started on May 1. Following the Food Pyramid eating plan, I would consume 1,400-1,600 calories per day. Sounds all good, right? But, I exercised A LOT during that time also. I averaged 2.5 hours of exercise every day. (Did I mention that I like to…
