Most budget friendly foods that are good for you too?
Is it just me or is all the "budget friendly" food all the food that is high in calories and not exactly the best for you?? Has anyone found any budget friendly foods that are also good for you? I'm a fan of Fiber One bars are there any alternatives out there people can suggest for snacks and cereals?

How do you log your lifting in MFP if at all?
Just wondering how everyone keeps track of their weight lifting training. How do you track lifting in MFP? If you use MFP which of the two options do you use? Do you use some other sort of tracking method?

Week 1 of lifting
This was my first week of lifting. I didn't push myself too much...at least I don't think (being just the first week and all) I did but my weight increased (was sooo not happy about that) but I lost inches every where? Is that possible after just one week???? Or is it just a fluke? Also it's like the last day of AF so…

Pre and Post lifting snacks/meals?
What are you snacking on before and after your lift sessions? I have been doing 1/2 cup of mixed nuts and a banana 30-60 mins before working out (35 mins on elliptical) and a banana and a protein shake (if I did squats and push ups) after. I'm not to sure I should continue to do the same now that I'm making a real effort…

Looking for "lifting friends"
Looking for friends who are lifting weights and have open diaries. I didn't just want to add people nilly willy without asking first so please add me or let me know if it's ok to add you? Also can you tell me how/if you keep track of your lifting in MFP and if you "eat back" those calories etc.? I'm going to start doing…

Starting out, need advice.
Hello :) I decided I should start lifting. I have an idea of what I need to do but I wanted some advice anyway. Right now, I do all cardio. 35 minutes of elliptical 5 days a week. Walk 2 miles the other two if weather and time permits. I want to start doing squats and some upper body strength training, 2-3 times a week.…

Weights question.
This may be a dumb question but I want to get some advice. I've got a long ways to go still on my journey and I want to make sure I'm doing this right. 5 days a week I do 35 minutes on the elliptical, I've increased the resistance from 6 to 10 within a period of 5 weeks or so. I'll walk the other two days for anything from…

Net calories?
I've got a burning question. My calorie intake was about 1400-1700 on most days and I burn 500+ a day (according to MFP). When I first started I noticed my net calories were under 1000 on several days, but I wasn't hungry and I've been eating good, at least better than I used to. My friend says I should *not* worry about…

Have you talked to a dietician??
I had GD with my first pregnancy, was put on medication and gained like 60 lbs in the process. I'm hoping to not do a repeat with this one so my OB had me talk to a dietician to get things started on the right foot. My appointment was Tuesday and quite frankly I didn't agree with what she told me. She gave me guidelines…

I've gained weight...again :S
So I started MFP 25 days ago. The first two weeks I did great, lost just under 6lbs then I found out I was pregnant. Obviously that changed the game plan. I'm not restricting my calories, just trying to "eat healthy" which I'm still tracking just to keep track, that's put me between 1700 and 2000 calories. But I've gained…

Does your body adjust to calorie changes?
So I've only been at this for a couple of days and I don't know if this is a valid question or not. My calorie intake is much less than what my body is used to. I feel like I'm ok now because I'm starting out but I can tell my body is freaking out and will start fighting back...ie will make me feel hungry until I bring up…

I'm new, it's day 1
Hello everyone. This is day one for me. I'm hoping I can make some progress on my journey. I've been over weight my ENTIRE life. I'm a mom, a wife and I just want to reach a healthy weight so I can participate in life without feeling like it's too hard or like I don't fit in with everyone else. Feel free to "friend" me, I…
