I feel like food rules my life. Years of trying and I have little to show for it. Really need help.
32 Male, currently at 332lbs. In 2014 I went from 360lbs down to 296lbs with just changing my eating habits and tracking my calories through myfitnesspal. For the last 2-3 years I've more or less hovered around 320-330lbs. I've gone through many many many attempts at getting back on track and it'll last anywhere from a…

Working out 3 days a week. Need help with making a good routine.
Hello guys and gals. So I've been doing pretty good in the weight loss department over the last few months and now want to start getting back into the gym and lift weights. I've lifted weights in the past while I was in the Marines and sporadically throughout the last few years but nothing consistent enough. What I was…

Better food helping keep my IBS down
So I didn't know if this would be the right place to post this topic but here we go. Also might be a little bit of TMI in this post. So about 8 years ago while in the Marines I was diagnosed with IBS(Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and outside of medicine could never get it under control. Of course my eating habits didn't help…

For the people who hit a weight loss plateau just remember one thing
So for my first month I shredded weight. Lost about 25lbs in 35 days but the last two weeks have shown .4 ounces lost. Now I was feeling a bit crappy about that. Everyone likes to see weight loss. Well I recently did my first measurements when my plateau was beginning. I retook those measurements the other night and was…

Best for burning calories: Slow walk or Fast walk
So I usually go to a walk during my lunch time at work and the route I've been doing is 1.25 miles long. I've done some days where I walk at a 3mph pace and other days where it's more of a 2-2.5mph pace. I'm trying to get the best bang for my buck here calories burnt wise. I'm 336lbs if that matters.

Negative side effects to losing mass amounts of weight?
I am just curious if there are any negative side effects that the body goes through while losing weight. I'd imagine that a ton of changes are happening as my muscles and bones go from carrying 360lbs to my goal of 200lbs. It's not something I've ever seen asked, so I'm just curious. Only thing I can think of is loose skin…

What is happening when you lose chunks at a time?
So I've noticed that during my loss of 14lbs that it comes in chunks at a time. For a few days I'll be stuck at one weight, maybe lose a few onces, then one day I'll suddenly be down 2-3lbs. I'm just curious as to why my weight would be coming off like this and if there is a way to get it to change from chunks to nice…

A video that helped turned on the light bulb for me
I see on here a lot of people that have issues with their relationship with food and how they need to change it. One of the biggest thing's that helped me was gaining awareness on everything and just becoming smarter on obesity and the types of foods and why we eat. One of the best thing's I've found that really clicked on…

Swimming really that good?
So I went to the pool today and did some leisure swimming and at the minimum I was treading water the whole time for the 80 minutes I was there. I'm 352lbs. I put it into MFP exercise thing and it said I burned over 1,200 calories. As a guy my size is this a real amount I could have possibly burned?

Being a food addict. Anyone else go through this?
Posted this in the intro forum by accident. I've had multiple attempts at losing weight since I've ballooned up but they seemed to failed. I would be successful for a few weeks up to a few months but would always fall back into old habits. After spending all day doing some research about food addiction I've come to the…
